"I'm sorry what ?" I said.
"I'm here to see my son. Listen I know I walked out on you as soon as I heard you were pregnant but I was 14 and scared." He says.
"James, what makes you think that I kept the baby?" I said.
"Because your a good person. And you dropped out of school." He explains.
"Oh. How did you even find out where I live?" I asked.
"I have my ways. Now please let me meet him."
"It is 10 at night. Come back tomorrow." I tell him. Then he looks at me and then walks away. I hurry up and close the door
"who was it?" David asked.
"You should get some sleep honey." I tell him.
"But who was it?"
'It was your father. No get some sleep." I said.
"But its Friday." He says.
"Oh right. Well still get,some sleep. He's coming back tomorrow.
"Why he wanna come visit me now? It's not like he care about me. So why is he here?" David asked
"I don't know. But you can ask him tomorrow." I said then I went upstairs.
The next day. 7 AM
I wake up to hearing knocking on the door.
"Who the hell is knocking on my god damn door in the god damn morning!!!!!?" I shouted as I put my robe on and head downstairs. I opened the door and it was James.
"What the fuck are you doing here in the god damn morning." I said
"Someone's cranky. I'm here to see my son for the first time." He says
"At 7 in the morning?" I said
"Yes. Now let me in because I coming in." He says as he enters my house "This place is a dump. You could've done better." He says.
"No I really couldn't have. This is the only dump I can afford on. But you wouldn't know because you didn't go through having the baby, buying stuff for the baby, having worrying about having enough food that will last the day. You got to live an easy breezy life. And I'm a stripper with a very stubborn pimp." I said then he just hugged me.
"I'm here now. I'm here." He says. Then David came down stairs.
"Mom whos at the door?" David said.
"Your father." I said then he walks up to the door slowly.
"So why you here now? Ain't got nothing better to do?! I don't need or want you In my life!" David shouts.
"I'm so sorry but can't you see I'm trying to be here now then stay away for the rest of your life." James says.
"I'm gonna give you 2 chances to prove your gonna try to make up for everything you missed!" David says.
"Ok how about we go on a play date. Me and you." James replied
"I'm not a little kid. If I wanna go in a date I can go out with a girl in my school any day." David exclaims
"Well then we can try to get to know each other I take you out to where ever you like. I try to get to know you and try to get to know me." James says.
"Isn't that a date? You know what whatever yea sure. Tonight at 7." David says and I could see some hope and happiness in his eyes.
"Yea tonight at 7." James says then they shake hands and he says goodbye as he walks out the door.
