Chapter 9 - Wendy

And if everything wasn't already going wrong...

"Wendy wants us to sing at her wedding and she wants to see us today" I looked at Lisa as she said those words. Me and Wendy haven't talked nicely for years and meeting her again, means facing some things that I was afraid to face back then.

"She said no buts, and uh- she wants to talk to you"

Maybe it was good to face these things now. I was matured and grown up so there should be nothing wrong about finally settling things between us. I mean, she was still once my friend, my bestfriend even, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

"Alright"

We drove to Wendy's house. Irene already lived with her, and knowing that they slept on the same bed made my heart ache.

We were now standing infront their door. The house was big, more than enough to fit two people, maybe for their family that they would build together.

I wished to be her.

She was so lucky.

Then the door opens revealing my friend. Wendy was standing awkwardly infront of me as Lisa stared at the two of us. I could only smile.

"It's nice to see you again Wendy" I broke the silence and she fiddled with her fingers.

"Uhh yeah you too, why don't you guys come in and have a seat" She coughs loudly and opens the door wider for us. Wendy leads us to the living room and there I see a beautiful couch that I knew Irene really liked.

Actually most of the furniture in here looked like Irene's taste. She decorated this house. I could tell. That's how much I knew her.

Just then, I see her coming down the stairs with her beautiful hair cascading onto her bare shoulders, because of her outfit. She wore a blue of shoulder and just simple white jeans that hugged her body in the right places.

The look suits her. It made her look even more gorgeous.

"I- Seulgi, Lisa. I didn't know you guys would be here today. Anyways I was just about to leave for girls day out, sorry but I can't stay long enough" She said as she made her way towards Wendy and gave her a long kiss on the lips.

I look away and hear my heart break.

"Bye hon" She says and bows to me and Lisa as she leaves. My eyes never left her until that front door closed. Again, Wendy cleared her throat.

"So uhh, you guys are my closest friends and I want you to be the ones to sing at my wedding..." She turned to me "...Seul, I know you have a great voice and it would be good it you sang-"

"I'll do it" I don't even think about the consequences when I answer her question. This was going to be my way of letting things go.

I knew it would break my heart, but my heart was already broken so why not make the most of it so that the healing process could just be one go.

"Really?" Her voice sounded surprised. Maybe she was surprised that I was even herr and talking to her. We just sort of drifted apart and since then I haven't had a normal conversation with her. This was going to be a first.

"Yes, really Wendy. I can't miss my bestfriends wedding. Specially that both of you are my closest friends I'll do it" I said and she just nodded. I looked over to Lida and shr also agreed.

We chatted a bit. I was a little quiet because the two of us were still awkward. There was this tension between us and I knew Lisa could feel it.

Wen ended up eating outside and going yo Lisa's restaurant. She said many plans that shr had with Irene and I saw how her eyes lit up everytime shr talked about her. She looked a lot like me when I was so inlove with Irene.
