"He let her go, not knowing at that moment as he lightened his grip on her wrist, he was letting go of something that would've lasted a lifetime, but then again, not all happy stories have the same happy endings. There were some that were just a lesson, and this story was one of them" I read the last lines of my student's book.

Jet Landers was a really smart kid. He knew how write stories with utmost detail and you could feel what the characters were feeling. I was amazed at him.

He was something else.

"This...is one of the best books I had ever read Jet. Do you mind if we put this up for the school exhibit. You could earn money with this, I'll help you get it published" I said to him. His blue eyes widen at my proposal.

He probably didn't expect it.

"I...Ms. Kang I would love that. Thank you, so much. This is why you're my favorite teacher" He said to me and I gave him a shoulder pat. The boy was a little taller than me, considering that he was an American.

Yep.

I moved to America five or six years ago. Originally from Seoul, I decided to take my college here and when I graduated, I became a teacher at some high school.

Jet was a sweet boy. The two of us got closer in the past two years. I once caught him writing a book, and because of my love for reading and poems, I wanted to see his work.

I was amazed at his plots. The chapters were long but they were never boring. He had a wide imagination. He could write something romantic, but he could also write science fiction. Amazing as it already was, he could combine two to three genres in one book.

I helped him get better, his writing improved in past two years, and I could honestly see his future of being a successful author. He was only in high school but he was already very good at writing, so why not start his success now.

He waited long enough.

"Of course Jet. You know you're also my favorite student secretly" I chuckled and looked back at the book. It was titled 'Lifetime'. So simple but there was such deep meaning in it. "I'll try to go to the publishing house this weekend, so if you can make another copy by tomorrow that would be good" I added.

He smiled.

"Really, thank you so much Ms. Kang. My parents are very happy that you became my teacher, because of you I became more confident with my works. They read that same book and said that you really helped me a lot. They said they weren't gonna stop me if I wanted to be an author one day" He briefly explained to me and I could only smile at the news. It was nice to know that you had an impact on someone's life.

"You don't have to thank me Jet, but may I ask where you got the idea for this book? This is the first time I saw you write so deeply about romance" I tilted my head to the side, curious about his thoughts. It sounded really familiar to me.

"Ms. Kang I hope you don't get mad, but remember that one time when you talked about Ms. Irene. I based the story off of that and changed some parts so it wouldn't be too familiar" Jet said as my eyes widen.

Haha. Irene. Yeah, forgot about her for a while.

"Ahh yes. No it's alright, I'm not mad. I was just a bit surprised, but thank you to you too, for finding my life so inspirational" I joked as we both laugh.

"I'll go now Ms. Kang" He said and I nodded, dismissing him. Of course, Irene.

I left her in Seoul. Well technically I didn't because we were only friends and I said I was going to move here in America. She said it was alright.
