You must've fallen asleep at the hill, because you don't remember much after the kiss. By the time you woke up, you were tucked in bed. How did I get back here? Wait was this all a dream?? You groan, hoping you hadn't dreamt of last night's events.

As you get ready for school, you can't help but flash back to the text messages, to the drive... to his lips. Please tell me I wasn't dreaming. You look down at your phone, the messages are still there, so at least that part wasn't a dream.

Wait. You called him when he got here.

You check your call log. 3.50AM, outgoing call to CJ. You weren't dreaming. As your mum drives you to school, you can't help but smile to yourself. CJ kissed me. CJ kissed me under the moonlight. You anxiously wait for the chance to see him again. It has to be perfect, you think, he should notice you first. Pretend to be unaware of his gaze, until he approaches you. You feel like your heart is going to burst from all the emotions that are building up inside you. Fear, anxiety, love, excitement, more anxiety, etc...  As you reach school, you almost jump out of the car. Relax, girl. Play it cool. You wave goodbye to your mum and look around. Sure enough, driving in is a black Mercedes. Keep calm, Y/N, don't be needy.  CJ gets out of the car, turns around, locks eyes with you and... completely ignores you. What? Maybe he didn't actually see you. As he walks towards you,  you wave. "Hi, CJ!", but he walks past you like you didn't exist. You run to catch up with him.

"Hey, how's it going?" you ask, feeling your heart racing. Why did he ignore you?  He continues to walk, without acknowledging you. As you walk past other students, you feel your cheeks heating up from the embarrassment. "Are you ignoring me? You know, you can just tell me if you want me to leave you alone."

All of a sudden, CJ pushes you into an empty classroom, closing the door behind you. He's so close, his body is practically pinning you to the wall. "Listen, I don't know what you think happened yesterday, but it was nothing. So the sooner you forget about it, the sooner we can move on, got it?"

You feel tears start to pool in your eyes. "What do you mean?"

"It was a mistake, ok?" he growls, "so just stop talking about it, and we'll be fine."

You feel confused, no, angry. So he was just playing around yesterday? Don't cry, Y/N, don't cry. You take a deep breath, trying to control the shakiness in your voice.

"Listen, if you just wanted to play around, you could've told me. Honestly, I would've been fine with that. But if this is some sick sadistic game that you like to play with girls? If you get off on making them fall for you, only for you to break their hearts? Then screw you, CJ, I don't want any part in it."

CJ looks at you, you can't exactly describe the expression on his face. Confusion? Hurt? Whatever it is, you don't care anymore.

"Y/N, I-"

But before he can continue, before he can sweet talk you back into caring for him, you push him away and bolt through the door. As you run away, you can feel the stares of each student you pass. Your eyes burn from the tears that are threatening to burst out at any moment. Just keep it together until you find a toilet.

By the time you reach the toilets, you can barely see anymore. You burst into one of the cubicles and slump to the floor, crying. I hate him. I hate him. I HATE HIM.

You start to shake as you let the emotions take over. Your breath becomes shallow and shaky. Suddenly, you hear a knock on the cubicle door. Shit, did I lock it?

"Hey, are you okay in there?"

You groan, you recognise that voice. Aaliyah.

"Go away, I'm fine." you say, trying to disguise your voice. If she knew it was you, she'd laugh. She would love to see you in pain.
