Last time on Searching for Nee-chan! Lynn and Kin found tons of cash in a vacationer's house. Not only that but two matching dragon pendants, how cool is that? It's like someone left them there for them... On with the story!
I open my eyes to find a sleeping Kin curled up into me. I wrap my arms around her and hug her gently. I find myself staring at her without noticing.
Memories of when Kin and I were little coming rushing to my head. My first day of school, I was crying because nobody would be with Kin. Kin's first crush, oh god I was so mad. I had threatened to beat up the s.o.b. if he tried anything funny, I found out a week later that Kin really hadn't liked him and was just seeing how long she could toy with him. I was so proud of her after that incident.
When mom and dad left us...
~flashback~
"Harriet! What is taking you so long?" My father whisper-yells to my mother.
"Forgive me dear I'm just getting a few things." Mother replies.
They don't seem to notice me watching them from my bedroom doorframe while they were grabbing their suitcases and heading towards the front door. I run over to my mother and grab hold to her leg.
"Mama! Papa! Where are you going?" I say with tears forming in my eyes.
"Oh Lynn, baby girl. We're leaving for a while but we'll be back before you know it. We're just going on... a vacation! Yes, a vacation that's it." Mother smiles with fake love generating towards me.
"Harriet, cut the bullshit!" My father yells startling me and probably waking up Kin-chan. "Listen up you little brat. You two girls have been nothing but misery to us so we are leaving. Let go of my wife and go back to your room!" Father screams.
"No! Mama, don't leave please!" I look up to my mother with tears rolling down my face. Smack! I feel a sharp pain on my cheek. I turn to the hand that had bestowed the pain.
"P-papa... Y-you hit me..." The tears had stopped.
"Let. Go. Of. My. Wife." Father says through gritted teeth. I slowly release and Kin-chan comes rushing in.
"Nee-chan what's happening?" Kin-chan asks in tears.
Father picks us both up by our hair and whispers to us.
"You little shits were mistakes. Don't try and find us. We are not your mother and father, we are just innocent people that gave birth to you ingrates. Goodbye, I hope you rot in hell." We both stare at father and then at each other.
"The same goes to you father, dearest." Kin and I say in unison. I kick our father and he drops us, clutching his gut, and Kin hugs our mother and tells her she hates her. With that we walk into our room hand in hand and shut the door behind us. After an hour of sitting on our bed and watching each other in silence, I look out of the window and find the car and our 'parents' nowhere to be found. Kin starts to cry and I hold her in my arms.
"Shh... It's okay... We're gonna be just fine." I say, trying to convince myself also. I kiss the top her head and we lie down. She falls asleep in my arms.
Father... Mother... Wherever you are going, we will get revenge.
~flashback over~
I was only 6. Kin was only 5.
I didn't notice that I was crying until I felt Kin's soft hands wiping away the tears.
"Nee-chan..." Kin says staring to cry also. "We will find them. I promise." She kisses my forehead and I drift off into a dreamless sleep.
