I sit in the waiting room. With Haven on my lap. Her knees are shaking and she's biting her fingers. She's been throwing up in the morning. I dont know if it's just her being sick or the shock. But I'm scared.
Hunter and Aria are here with Josiah who's bouncing in Jay's lap. Jared is here with Jay obviously. Embry and Marcy are also here, Sophia's making little loom charms for Charlie when she wakes up. If she wakes up.
" Broom Broom. " Jared says bouncing Josiah on his leg. Josiah's big curly mess bounces too as he just drules over his bib.
Hunter gets up and takes Josiah away from Jared with a scoff. " Your gonna give him fucking shaken baby syndrome you idiot. " And Jared frowns.
I wonder if Jared ever says anything. You know all anyone ever does is call him dumb and tell him how weird he is. But it's rude. And i feel bad for him sometimes. If it were me i wouldve punched someone by now.
" Mr. And Mrs. Reyes " We all look upto see the doctor and Haven's eyes scan his body. His scrubs have so much blood on them and his once white gloves are red and smudged.
Haven and I follow him to his office and he gulps. " We did everything we could. " He says and Haven grips my hand as her tears fall. " She lost so much blood. " He says as he takes off his gloves and throws them away.
" D-Did she make it? " I ask and he sighs.
" Barely. " And Haven looks up at me with hope. " But like i said she's lost a lot of blood. And you guys would have to supervise her every move. Brain cancer is hard for children. And we'd like to have monthly check ups so that we can monitor her progress or lack their of. She was strong. You guys are lucky. But we are keeping her over night. Just for safe keeping. " He says crossing his arms.
" Thank you! Thank you so much! " Haven says crying and i just hold her so tight. " Can i see her. Can i see my baby girl. " She asks and he nods.
We walk into a small pinkish room. Its cold and quiet. She lays there with cords hooked upto her chest and a bandage around her small head.
I kiss her softly and she breathes uneasy. " Princess daddy's here. " I whisper.
" She is on a high dose of pain medication, she can hear you and she might wake up but only for a couple seconds and then she'll just go back to sleep. " The doctor explains. " When your done you can just go. " He says and leaves.
Haven sits next to her and kisses her cheeks and smiles. " Your a tough little girl you know that right. And momma loves you so much! " She says with a big smile as she cries.
" You wanna go home now queen. " I ask and Haven shrugs. I hold her hand and walk out with everybody else.

Walking fast, places past and I'm homebound! " Aiden sings as we all sit around our living room watching White Chicks. " And i need you, " He does the little head movements. " And i miss you. " Again. " And i wonder! "
We all just start laughing. It's all just us, the kids are in Charlie's room either asleep or watching TV. Haven is curled up on me, playing with my unshaved face. " I love it. " She says brushing her fingers tips under my chin and she giggles.
" Baby look. " Jared laughs at the TV. And Jay throws her head back and giggles all weird. " Aguantalamela ahi aquantalamela! " He says shaking his hips in some weird blinding way.
" Shut the fuck up. " Hunter says and everyone laughs, Jared just stands there. I guess you could say he realized people didn't laugh cause they thought he was funny. They thought he was dumb and corky.
