...Rarity!?

AJ had been working at the bar for a few days now. When it was Friday, the manager let everyone go early to get ready to cater for the masked ball that night.

"Shit! What will I wear? This is obviously a fancy occasion," she ranted to Sunset as they were leaving the bar.

"Hey don't worry about it, I got your back. Come to my place I've got a lot of suits for these kinda things."

Applejack thanked her and they called a taxi.

"Wow. Nice apartment!" AJ complimented the place.

"Haha thanks. My dad owns the building. Now, let's see what we have here..." she started fumbling through her closet. "Ooo try this on!"

She handed Applejack a clean cut black blazer with a crisp white shirt under that had a collar. It came with slim fitting black pants that hugged your curves and to top it off came with clean black flats as dress shoes.

AJ gaped at it. "WOW. Are you sure you want me wearing something so....expensive?"

Sunset shooed her hand in front of her face. "It's no big deal at all, I have several. Besides it will look so good on you."

Did she just...blush a little?

Applejack thanked her and went into the bathroom to get dressed. Sunset had offered they both change in the same room but Applejack was a little insecure, especially around someone she barley knew so she just decided on the bathroom instead.

When they were dropped off by a taxi, they were brought to a huge building. It was a major fashion emporium of some sort. AJ had never been anywhere like this.

  When they came in, the place was bustling with people, waiters, butlers, maids, caterers, and of course the richies. (That was a nickname Apple Bloom and Apple Jack had made up for rich people.)

  Sunset and Applejack met up with the the rest of their people and began their work. They were all handed masks to match the theme.
Applejack had to use the bathroom so she went through the whole place. Every bathroom has a line! Ugh.

She headed upstairs on a long spiral staircase. She saw a powder room on the side. She noticed one girl in it.

Wow. Nice ass that one. Wait what!?

  She awkwardly walked in as the girl was bending over to the mirror applying her lipstick. She had on a fancy black mask, slim form fitting red dress with a slit down the side and tall black heels.

  Why does she seem familiar...

  The girl stopped applying her lipstick and sharply turned around. "Um what do you think you're doing up here?"

  "Uh...I-uh bathroom?" Applejack stuttered surprised by the girls rude reaction.

  "Well this one is off limits," she glared at Applejack. "The helps is downstairs."

  That voice....

"Right, er- Sorry again." Applejack turned around and went back downstairs.

  Great. You're doing amazing already, AJ.

   When she got back Sunset looked worried. "Where'd you run off to? I couldn't find you anywhere down here."

   "Uh yah, I tried using a bathroom upstairs and let me tell you that was a big mistake."

   "Oh poor baby. Must've ran into ms snobby mc snobbykins, Rarity."

Applejack Snapped her head up. "Wait, what? ...Rarity!?"

  "Yeah! I finally remembered her name. This is her place. We're catering for her party."

Applejack couldn't believe it. That was the Rarity she just spoke to. Her old friend. A lot less generous than I remember. And she sounded so familiar too! Why though? Applejack stood there thinking and then it hit her.

"Holy shit. Rarity is that girl I ran into on my first day here!" She blurted out.

  "Really? Well that's too bad. I swear we're not all like that here," Sunset said.

   "Yeah, obviously. But wow. That was...RARITY."

  Sunset Shimmer nodded her head like she didn't care. "Um yep. We've established that."

   "I gotta tell her that she knows me! I mean, she probably didn't notice because the first time we met here we didn't recognize each other and just now we both had masks on. I doubt she'll be rude to me when she remembers."

  "Pshh. And what makes you think she'll remember?" Sunset rolled her eyes.
 
  What's up with her?

"Uh, our history? Anyway gotta go I'll be back." She went to look for Rarity again.

   Sunset stood there alone. "I guess I'll be here..."
