Applejack was boarding the plane. The lady who was taking her ticket looked her up and down in her flannel shirt, jeans, dirty boots and cowgirl hat.
"Uh...you're going to Manhattan like that?"
AJ rolled her eyes. She was used to other people thinking she dressed too different. "Yeah, as a matter a fact I am. Can I have my ticket now please?"
The lady winced and hesitantly handed her her ticket.
Applejack sat next to a man who looked very familiar. "Filthy Rich?"
The man looked up and smiled. "Oh hey there Apple, how's it hangin?"
She was surprised at the coincidence that she was sitting next to the man who did the most business with the Apple family.
"I'm hangin in there Rich, hope all is well for you. What are you heading to Manhattan for?""Well I should ask you the same thing Apple. I'm just heading out for a new business proposal."
Applejack made her self comfortable in the seat. "Well I'm heading there for a change of scenery mostly, I have no idea what I'm gonna do but it'll be something."
"Well it's always nice running into an Apple. Call Granny Smith for me soon and tell her I say hi."
"Of course, Rich. Will do." AJ smiled back.
When she landed in Manhattan she got her luggage and checked into a hotel. It was right next to some fancy boutique.
Might as well take a stroll. As she was walking out a guy handed her a paper. Curious, she accepted it.
Applejacks POV:
I was walking down a sidewalk next to a café deciding to get some coffee. Something caught my eye in the paper as I was leaving the place:
Local bar hiring now!
Hm. Never thought life would bring me to working at a bar but at least this way I can make some cash.
*WHAM*
Applejack ran into a woman dumping all her coffee onto her. She gasped and her eyes got huge. She had back length stretched out purple curls, very pale skin, dark blue eyes that almost seemed navy, and what from Applejack could see she had on long false eyelashes.
"W-what have you DONE," she screeched with a hint of a British accent."Oh! Sorry, didn't see you there," AJ replied less dramatically.
"HOW COULD YOU," the purple girl said sputtering as she desperately tried to find a napkin or something to wipe herself off in her purse. "This is all your fault," she muttered."It was an accident!" Applejack said defensively. "And by the way it's just as much your fault as it is mine, you were texting."
The purple haired girl glanced down at her phone and scoffed, "do you know how much this shirt cost? It's your coffee!"
Applejack rolled her eyes. City people she thought. "Miss, it's just a shirt it's washable ya know."
The girl looked me up and down. "Of course you would think it's just a shirt."
AJ was taken aback. "Now what in tarnation is that supposed to mean?"
The girl smirked and said "cute country accent." With that she shoved past AJ making sure to run into her shoulder roughly.
Applejack wipped around to shoot something back but she instead went to go look for the bar.
Rarity's POV:
I needed to get fresh air away from the world. Walking seemed like a good decision. I headed down a street near a cafe, I was gonna head in until some random person ran right into me.
*WHAM*
She spilled coffee all over my brand new designer shirt. I looked up to see the criminal, it was some green eyed, freckled faced, sunkissed skin, blond, ratty looking country bum chick.
"W-what have you DONE?" I yelled at her disgusted. She simply replied like it was no big deal, "Oh! Sorry didn't see you there."
After we argued for a good 30 seconds about my shirt NOT just being a shirt I attempted to derail her confidence. "Cute country accent," I said sarcastically and shoved past her making sure to hit her shoulder. Country people shouldn't even be aloud in the same air space as me.Hope you liked this chapter! I am loving writing this story so far. Lemme know what you think!
