•3rd POV•

It was all confusing. Everyone was scattered.
Papyrus and Sans on the run to find Frisk.
Frisk's body being taken over by Chara.
Gaster being killed.
What next?
I'm sure many of you are probably thinking of when they will all reunite again... That will happen soon, but, on this chapter, we are going to focus on Chara... Who is she? Why is she separating Frisk from her loved ones?

Chara was walking down the streets in Frisk's body, her hands clenched tightly on the sword that was covered by a thick cloth. Her hands were slightly burned from earlier. Her eyebrows furrowed in a dark manner and her eyes glowed and unusual hell red...

Chara was around Frisk's age, when she was no more than 6, she was abandoned... Just like Frisk, alone in the world... Her father was a robber, her mother was a nurse that sold drugs under the table secretly. She was unloved and unneeded. Her mother was usually too high to notice her and her father too busy counting his cash to play with her. She was quiet, having nothing more than a small old doll to keep her company she found in the trash can. She often sat and played in her homemade tents she made out of blankets. Her father came into her room drunk one night and tried to kill her with his gun. He yelled, screamed and shouted at her even when she had done absolutely nothing wrong. She was horrified, crying until her face was red and puffy with helpless cries for help. The mother had come in and for once wasn't high.
"JEREMIAH!" The mother screamed at her husband, grabbing his wrist to pull the gun away from Chara's head.
A loud "BANG" went off and the bullet instead his the mother and she was instantly killed.
Chara began to cry harder and grew very scared when her father sobered up and was frozen in shock. The small little girl ran for it, past him and out the door. She left a trail of tears, desperately breaking outside with a panicked heart. Her little legs could only take her so far but she didn't stop running. She ran towards the woods in the dead of night. She kept falling and stumbling from how thick things got but she kept getting up and running again. Her yellow and lime green striped shirt was getting torn along with her brown trousers. She panted and kept coughing from how much she choked on tears. She was running blindly up a mountain instead, screaming when wildlife had scared her to go running that way to Mt Ebott. Climbing as far as she could go she slowed down once huddling in a small cave in the side of the mountain. Sharp cries kept coming from her as she scrambled back into the darkness and hugged her knees to her chest. She sniffled and tried to get ahold of her tears but she was only 6 and did not understand what just happened... Clearing her tears, she began to lean back against the cave wall, only to quickly find... There was no cave wall. She lost balance and screamed when she fell down in a pitch black hole of darkness then... There was nothing...

Or at least... Not for awhile~

"Oh goodness... She took a hard blow to the head," a gentle female's voice spoke.
"...That was quite a fall," a stronger male's voice spoke which caused Chara's eyes to slowly open.
Chara was lying in a bed, with two goat like humanoids standing over her.
"Hello young one," Tori smiled gently at her.
Chara wasn't scared but in fact comforted by these creatures.
"Are you feeling alright kiddo?" Asgore asked, gently touching the back of Chara's head which immediately made her flinch.
Chara looked at the two with pure awe after regaining her thoughts. The two of them babying her and taking care of the nasty bump on her head.
"What's your name my child?" Toriel sat on the edge of the bed, handing her a plate of butterscotch pie.
She didn't answer but quickly snatch the pie and eat it like she was starving like a wild animal.
Over time... Chara did finally write her name when she was given paper and crayons to draw with on the corner of the picture. She learned how to spell her name when she was 3. Toriel and Asgore adopted Chara as their own once they had grown so in love with her as their daughter. Chara forgot all about her real parents, only remembering shades of people. The drawings she displayed though were a little disturbing by what seemed to always involve blood and a gun. Chara was ok... That is until their ACTUAL son had returned from camp from up top, Asriel. He was very perky and happy. He was excited to have a human for a sister. Asriel loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was one of those kids that were just willing to help.
Chara was shocked when Asriel came through the castle doors to be greeted by HER adoptive parents that smothered him in love. She grew jealous by the special affection that they gave their son, wanting that to herself. No matter how much Asriel tried, she hated his guts with a passion. She tried desperately to get Tori's and Asgore's attention and she succeeded but wasn't satisfied since it felt like it wasn't the same given love they had given Asriel. Jealousy grew within her, full of hate by the age of 10. She deserved all their love, at least in her mind that's what she thought she deserved. Taking Asriel out one day... She had murdered him with a knife, stabbing him over and over in the back until his bled out to death crying fo help in the middle of the woods. When she had returned back... Covered in blood and begging for love, Asgore and Toriel we're mortified. Asgore hurt Chara badly to where he almost killed her out of rage yet she managed to escape... Her soul shifted completely into darkness... She cried and wept, knowing she would never be loved...

(A/N): HEY! My apologies for slow updates and crappy writing. My heart isn't completely in this book because I get writer block a lot. Happy late Independence Day btw. Have a nice day and make sure to leave a vote. Votes will help me motivate myself to make a new chapter quicker ❤️
