Int. The Brown's kitchen - morning
Noelle Brown sits in front of an empty plate. Her mother is entering and exiting the kitchen with stacks of papers in her hands. Her dad is reading the newspaper on the couch while drinking a cup of coffee.
Noelle Brown
(glancing up)
Mom, your planner is in your hands.
Mrs. Brown glances down and sees that her blue and green planner is, indeed, in her hands.
Mrs. Brown
(opening the front door)
Thank you, honey. I've got to run now. Have a great day!
Mrs. Brown hurries out and Noelle looks to her dad.
Noelle Brown
Can you take me to school?
Mr. Brown
What? No thank you, I don't need a new cooler.
Noelle sighs and stands up.
NOELLE BROWN
Well then I'm off. Bye.
MR. BROWN
Well yes, my eye glasses are getting a little bit old, but these new ones are just so ugly, don't you think?
Noelle rolls her eyes and, after depositing her plate in the sink, exits through the front door.
So...secrets, secrets.
