Prologue

"Lexus! Come here!" My brother called me from the living room.

"Why?" I shouted from my room.

"Your Princess is on air!" He said that made me stood up from my bed and ran downstairs.

"Where?" I asked him when I arrived in the living room.

"There." He pointed at the tv.

I watched her go out of the palace and go to their limousine. She walked so elegant and held her chin up.

I wonder where she's going.

"Close your mouth!" My brother teased me.

I glared at him and turned my attention back to the tv infront of me.

"Wanna follow your Princess?" He asked me once again.

"Stop it. If mom hears you, you're gonna get some punches, you fool." I threw him death glares. He's so annoying.

"Chill. If you two end up together, I can ask her to be a bridge for me and her cousin." He told me and rested his head on the headrest of the sofa.

"Who?" I asked him.

"Yvonne." He answered shortly.

Princess Yvonne huh? I heard she has an attitude.

"She won't even look at you." I told him.

"Does Princess Caroline look at you?" He raised his eyebrows at me.

"She's my classmate." I answered him.

"But she doesn't even look at you." He teased.

"We're partners on a project." I told him.

"Partners on a project huh? But she won't be your partner for life." He wiggled his eyebrows.

I was about to punch him when mom entered the living room.

"Stop it you two. Levy, stop bullying your brother." Mom said. I stuck my tongue out to tease Levy more.

"Lexus." Mom called me. Now it's Levy's turn to tease me.

I stood up to go to my room when my phone vibrated. It's my alarm. I'll go to the palaace, two hours from now.

The Princess said that she's not allowed to go to someone's house without permission from her mom so she said that we'll just do our project in the palace.

I fixed all the things that I need to bring. She said that I shouldn't bring too much things since the palace have materials for our project.

We're gonna make a scrapbook for all of the beautiful things here in this Kingdom. There's gonna be a fair in the school and different countries are invited.

The scrapbook that we're gonna be making will be displayed on the hallways of our school so we have to make it really eye-catching and educational.

"Lexus! There's a car waiting for you outside." Levy said.

I told her that I'll walk since the palace is just a 5 minute walk from here but she didn't listen. Well, who am I that I thought that she's going to listen to me?

The driver bowed down before opening the door for me. Before I went inside, Levy whispered something to me.

"Goodluck." He winked at me. I glared at him and went inside the car.

We also have cars but this is one of a kind. This car screams luxury, it's color is black and everything inside the car is black and silver. What a rich family.

After a few minutes, we arrived infront of the palace gates, the gates automatically opened. I looked around the entrance from the inside of the car.

This is my second time entering this palace. The first time was when she had her fourteenth birthday.

The car stopped infront of the main entrance. The driver opened the door for me so I smiled at him.

I entered the door and I was surprised that there is a maid waiting for me inside. She guided me towards their library.

"Please wait for the Princess, I'll bring some refreshments." The maid said. I smiled at her and nodded my head.

I looked around the library and looked for some books that we could use.

Queen Caroline

Queen Caroline? She already have her own book even though she's not yet the Queen? That's cool.

I opened the book and found out that it's not her. It's probably one of the former Queens. I looked around and realized that I'm in the isle where all the royal books about Queens and the rest of the former members of the royal family are.

There are rumors about books about the royal family but I didn't quite believe them because there are no proofs. Now I do.

I turned the pages and saw a note. It says 'Family first.'

"What are you doing?" I almost jump when I heard a voice behind me.

I turned around and saw Princess Tyra. I bowed and smiled at her.

"Who are you?" She asked again with her brows furrowed.

"I'm Lexus, classmate of the First Princess, we're here to do one of our projects." I told her. I though she's going to ask why I'm holding one of the books but she remained silent.

"Put that book back. That's one of the important books here in the palace. I hope whatever's in that book that you've read will remain a secret." She told me and turned her back on me.

I put the note back on the book and returned the book in it's place. I wanted to apologize to her about what she saw, but I can't because I don't know what to answer once she ask me why I did that. I can't tell her that it's because of Caroline. That's just embarassing.

I went to one of the tables here inside the library and waited for her. I looked at my wristwatch, she's not yet late. But what's taking her so long?

I wanted to take a nap so I did. I still have fifteen minutes before the meeting time, we agreed on.

My hands automatically took a hold of the hand touching my hair, I opened my eyes and realized that I was holding Caroline's hand.

I immediately let it go and fixed my position. Wait. That sounded wrong. I immediately sat accordingly.

She giggled at my actions and smiled at me.

"I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?" She asked me.

"No, no. It's fine." I told her.

"I already started making the scrapbook when you were sleeping." She showed me a scrapbook. When she said 'started', she prbably meant 'finished'.

"I don't know how to tie it." She haned me the finished scrapbook.

I tied it down before giving it back to her.

"Thank you." She said and smiled sweetly. How can she just smile and take my breath away?

"Can I just bring you home?"

"You have to ask my parents about that." She told me.

"What?" I asked her, a little confused.

"You asked me if you can just bring me home." She told me and giggled.

I froze when I realized what she said. How did she know? Does she know how to read minds?

"No. You're thinking out loud." She said and laughed.

"Sorry." I told her and looked down.

"You don't need to feel sorry. I want to go home with you but I can't. The whole palace will be in chaos when I leave without them knowing." She said and winked at me.

I stared at her and tried to process what she just said.

My eyes widen when my mind finally processed what she said. Go home with me?

Damn.
