I don't proofread. Love y'all.

Duchess of Fall

The day went on so fast. One minute we were happy then the next we're all startled because of what mom said.

"This is Octavius." She pointed at the boy on the left, he's slightly taller than the one on the right.

"And this is Augustus." The boy smiled at us, opposite to what the first did.

"Hi. I'm Sophia." I extented my hand to them.

Augustus held my hand and kissed the back of it, like a true prince. I smiled at him and looked at Octavius, who just rolled his eyes on me and held my hand. He kissed the back of my hand too.

They did the same with the girls of our family and they shook hands with the boys.

We all sat down on the sofa and waited for Adi to go down. She didn't went out of her room since this morning. It's already two pm yet she's still there. The maids just went up to give her food.

"Sophia, call Adelaide and tell her to go down." I nodded at my mom and stood up to call Adi.

I knocked on her door twice before coming inside.

"Adi." I called her softly when I saw her laying on her bed and crying silently.

I closed the door and walked towards her. I caressed her back and whispered words of comfort to her.

"It will be alright."

"I'm always here."

"I won't leave you, Adi." I told her.

She sat on her bed and looked at me while wiping her tears away.

"I don't know what to feel." She told me. She was about to cry again when I hugged her.

I may not know how she feels right now but I think I can comfort her.

"I thought dad really loved my mom, Sofia. It turns out..." She couldn't finish her sentence because her tears fell down again.

"It turns out... he's just pretending for me... my mom had been through so much... she's been... she's just trying to be strong... for... me... I don't know what to do anymore..." She cried so hard on my shoulders.

I caressed her back and let her bring out all of the things running inside her head.

"I regretted everything, Sofia. Believe me. I regretted everything." She told me. I don't quite get what she was saying when I remembered about her dating issue with a celebrity. I forgot the name.

That issue together with the issue of her going to a bar made my mom decide to send her to Storm.

"Shh. I'm always here. You can always count on me." I told her.

She lifted her head from my shoulder and wiped her tears from her face. I held her face and smiled at her before helping her wipe her tears.

"Thank you." She told me after finishing wiping her tears and smiled weakly.

I smiled at her softly.

"You need to meet them, Adi." I told her.

"I know. My mom left because of them." She told me that made me widen my eyes.

"What?" I asked her, confused.

"She told me that she doesn't have a role here anymore. She left and dad didn't even follow her." She told me.

"Where did she go?" I asked her.

"She didn't told me. She told me that she'd come back for me." She told me and stood up.
