A strory book beginning

Being a princess sucks. Imagine waking up at 6am to practice your self-defense skills and sleeping at 9pm because you have to wake up early the next day.

Imagine not being able to do the things that you want because people always has their eyes on you. Imagine not enjoying your teeanage life because you will start your 'real life' as a princess at the age of fifteen.

I never wanted this, but who cares? Definitely not my family.

"Sofia, finish your food. Is that how a princess should act?" mom said.

I quietly finished my food and wait for the queen to stood up before leaving the dining area. But it looks like she's really enjoying her food.

"How's your training? Doing good?" Grandma asked me or should I say 'The Queen' herself.

"Doing good, grandma." I told her. I have to act nicely even though I don't like the food. I don't like eating vegetables.

"You should. You're turning fifteen the next month. You should learn how to protect yourself properly before that happens." She told me. I waited for her to leave before I excuse myself to go to my room.

I changed my clothes to my training clothes brfore going out to the gym. They always told me to not be late, but they also told me that I should not be kept waiting.

"Goodmorning." I greeted my coach who's already in the gym when I came inside.

"Let's start?" He asked.

"Sure." I told him.

I'm learning karate this year, last year I learned Muay Thai and it was really hard for me. The year before that I learned how to use different weapons. Next year I'll be learning how to use different swords. How boring. I have no choice but to learn all this things because if I don't, my life will be in danger. Well, not that I'm not going to receive death threats every month if I learn how to fight. It will just help me if incase I'm alone and there's danger.

Me and my coach tried to sparring so I did my best to beat him. I can't use the tricks I learned on the other martial arts that I mastered so I really have to beat him using only the tricks I learned from him, which is tricky. Using the tricks you learned from a person to beat that person is really a different kind of suicide.

I tried to kick him but he dodged it. He tried to punch my tummy so I turned around and kick his face. He fell on the mat so I helped him stand up only to be taken down by him.

"You don't help your enemy, Princess." He told me.

I kicked his face again and this time I didn't help him to stand up.

"You're doing great!" Someone shouted from the entrance of the gym.

"Adi!" I called her and ran towards her. I hugged her.

"Princess Adelaide." My coach called her and bowed. Adelaide is my cousin, and is also a Princess. She just got back from her trip to Alabama.
