"Coffee?" I asked my Clarinetist, who was now wearing my extra shirt because she didn't want to dress up just yet.But just the same, she'd look beautiful even in just a plain oversized shirt. To me, she can wear anything and still be the most beautiful woman in the world.
"I'd love that Maestro." She said with a smile and a quick kiss on my lips as I got up from the studio's couch and walked to my Gran Lattissima Nespresso Machine at the other end of the studio.
"So I guess we're not following them at the harbour tonight?" I said as I reached for the coffee capsules on the top shelf of the counter. Which would she like among these? The strong Diavolitto? The rich Capriccio? The gentle Ristretto? The light Volluto? The sweet Vivalto?
Or the delicate Arpeggio?
And then suddenly, I felt her warm embrace from behind. "I'd rather stay here."It is in these simple moments that I just fall in love with her. A warm hug. Her hands clasped with mine. Her head resting on my back as she hugged me. The kind of love that my soul craved for during those years without her. Hiding behind those beautiful eyes, her caring words and selfless gestures, found in the messiness of little imperfections, beyond which lies everything good.
