Mrs. Glade began to force the kids to line up on one of the borders of the battle court, and as soon as everybody was lined up, Mrs. Glade clapped and stepped in front of the class. "Okay, well... are you guys ready?" she waited slyly as some students groaned well others nodded, "Just kidding- the academy has noticed that it's hard for some students to train in our regular school uniforms- so we've upgraded! Now, if you've noticed the change rooms-" she pointed to two brand new small facilities with two doors to enter- a pink one for the girls and a blue one for the boys- "those are your new changing rooms! Go on, go check it out! We've placed gym strips in bags with your names on them with your first name on the back of the strip."
Everybody began to run towards the change rooms, excited, and Saki was the first to get in, shooting two thick webs from her hands around the door handle, and she jumped up as she flew to the door handle- the web pulling her forward, and then she kicked the door open as she landed on it and tumbled forward. "O-Ouch!"
"Woah- girl!" one of the other girls said, "You're the new one, right? That was flipping epic! What's your ability?" "S-Spider..." Saki mumbled as she took off the web from the handle and stepped inside. "Oh gosh!"
A beautiful changing room- white walls with a few bathroom stalls and a few showers, a bunch of peach coloured gym bags with names written on them hung up on oak hooks, and two huge clear mirrors. Hikari and Nora dashed in and everybody gasped, "Oh god! Wow!" Nora said as the girls began to search for their bags.
Nora was first to find hers and pulled it off the hook and put it on. It was a white T-shirt with a black logo- S.T.A. with a circle around it, and short peach coloured shorts with a white line down both sides of the leg part.
After everybody was done changing and were ready to battle, Mrs. Glade grinned, "You guys look amazing! Yes, these are our new gym strips. I hope you can use them cautiously." Everybody nodded, "Well okay- for today's exercise, we are going to split the class up into two lines. Do that now." Nora and Hikari shifted into the same line while Saki got put into another. "Now, face the person that's in the same place in line as you. You're going to be battling with them on a one versus one. First up is... Hikari and Saki. Second is Nora and Celeste." Nora looked over to a girl with dark brown hair in a low ponytail and ice blue eyes who was clenching her fists- it looked like the tips of her fingers had frostbite!
"Hikari and Saki, prepare." Hikari stepped onto one side of the battle court and Saki stepped onto the other. Mrs. Glade sniffed, "Let's see how strong you are, new girl." Saki nodded and her eyes darted to the nearest tree, "You can't underestimate me, teach." She grinned. Hikari put her fingers together nervously.
"3....2....1.... go!" Saki immediately shot webs from her hands and wrapped the web around one of the tree branches and swung up onto the tree, Hikari gasping and turning around as she opened her hands and two small black and purple orbs began to form as Saki began to climb up the tree on all fours. "Heh, I told you!"
As she wasn't looking, Hikari shot one of the balls at Hikari like she was throwing a baseball and it hit Saki, and she shrieked and fell down onto her back. "ooo!" a boy laughed. Saki got up and began to crawl towards Hikari, who had her hands together, a bigger shadow orb forming in the middle of them, as it got bigger, her eyes on Saki, who was beginning to circle her, she extended her hands to make the ball bigger. When she wasn't looking, Saki shot a web at Hikari's back and wrapped it around her, making her stand straight with her arms at her sides, her letting go of her shadow ball which began to float away, and Hikari winced, "N-No!" She tried to pull out, but she was screwed tight and Saki kept the web firm. "Hah, now what can you do!? Told you a spider isn't always just a bug!" Hikari looked to her shadow ball and began to concentrate on it, "please... please..." and slowly, just as she was thinking about it hitting Saki, it went and hit her and Saki fell back, pained, and screeched kicking on all fours as Hikari jumped down, victorious.
"Yay!" Nora said excitedly as Mrs. Glade clapped, "good job, all of you. And Saki, your ability is strong- just you're not used to battling with our level of students- so you lost. You'll get it!" Saki nodded, half offended.
Then the bell rang. "Oh wow- already? We'll continue with the listed battles tomorrow. Go have your break and eat something! Oh, and get changed before you do."
