Escaping the Foundation

Chapter 22

Dr. Dexyrl

I'm so glad to see my brother here. It's been so long since I've seen him. Since that day, I never saw the real Stephen again. If he just listened and heard his explanation, everything should be fine but no.

"Sooo what are you planning to do?" I asked to the both of them.

They glanced at each other and looked back to me "We are planning to get them out of there." Stephen replied.

"Wait, What? That impassable, how can you do that?" I asked to him.

He smirked and answered "We will do it."

"We? What the fudge, big bro? My loyalty is in the Foundation, I can't just give it up and go with you." I said while stepping backwards.

"Hey, listen.. did you see Scp-706? Your friend? She's suffering." He said while walking slowly towards to me.

I looked down and said "This is safest place for her."

He held my shoulders and looked directly in my eyes "Dexy, listen, we finally be free from this. This is our only chance to be in our way. Remember? We've been trained for years since we were kids to manifest this curse and now, we can finally be ourselves."

"NO, Mom will not like this. This I've been trained for. I can't just ignore this." I said to him.

"Adams, our brother, died becuase he's tired of living in this hell. So what are we waiting for. We can finnaly have a chance to reach his dream. C'mon, sis." He explained to me.

I glared at him and questioned him "You just want a revenge, don't you?"

He paused for a moment and sighed "This is our only chance, Dexy."

"No, this isn't you." I said trying to change his mind.

"You don't know me, Dexy." He said in a little loud volume.

"Actually, no one does. You've changed a lot, big bro." I said in a serious tone then I was about to walked away after that but Maya interrupt me.

"My husband is there, suffering." She said in a sad tone.

I looked at her and asked "What? Your husband?"

"Yes, please help us." She begged to me.

I opened the door and looked away "Maybe I'll think about it" then I left.

I then came back and closed the door "Think about it! Let's say that the Foundation is bad but if take it down, million of innocent lives will be shredded inyo pieces. You two wanna see that?"

"Dexy, we will just esca-" I interrupt him by saying "We can't escape the foundation!"

I paused and continued "We can't, how matter how hard we tried, we can't. Wherever we go, it's still right there. We can't escape the foundation, they will be there to contain us. Even though we leave the facility, it doesn't mean that we already escape the foundation. They are just always right there containing us without even us, knowing it. Brother, our only choice is to stay here. It will be more dangerous if we are out there."

"You said you'll think about it. Then go and think about it." Stephen said in a calm voice.

"But-" He raised the volume of his voice and said "Trust me."

I just didn't respond and left for real. How can he say such a dangerous task like that? I don't wanna leave but at the same time, I'm kinda tired of this. Since I was a kid, we were like this. Unlike Jared who became a prodigy haha lucky Jared. I don't wanna let go but at the same, I want to take a break and breathe. This place makes me feel suffocated.

I head over to Scp-706 and went inside of her containment chamber. As usual, it looks normal but isn't. She looks the same though. Her porcelain skin makes her looks so gorgeous but even she's normal, I'm pretty sure she's as gorgeous as she is right now.

I sat down in the opposite side of her chair. She's brushing her hair as always. She glanced at me and her eyes became wide all of sudden.

"Hey, what's wrong Dexy?" She asked in a worried tone.

"Nothing's wrong." I replied while forcing a smile.

"You know when I'm sad becuase I remembered my mom, I talked to you and now, you don't wanna talk to me?" She asked, still in a worried tone.

"It's just... my brother, Stephen, is back." I answered in a sad tone.

"That's a great news but by the looks of your face, you aren't about that. Why?" She asked while putting down the very soft brush.

"No, you misunderstood. I'm happy about him being here but he wants something." I said while getting my pen from my pocket.

"What does he wants?" She asked.

I finally got my pen from my pocket and looked around. I'm pretty sure that they are watching us that's why I purposely dropped the pen under the table. When I was under the I grabbed it and wrote something in my palm. I then sit up straight and put my other hand on the top of the hand that has something on it. I then slightly lift it and showed it to her. It says he wants to escape the foundation and he needs my help.

She sighed and asked "Oh don't wanna say that to me, I'm fine."

I get it, we need to act.

"It's a pretty complicated thing. It's like an impossible equation. Do you think he can solve that?" I asked to her.

She nodded slightly and said "If he can solved that, then I'll be in his side because you know, he will be the smartest person. But I'll want you to stay by my side, no matter What."

"What should I do? He wanted a pretty impossible thing for me to handle." I asked to her.

"It's your choice, Dexy. I'll be there for you if that impossible equation happened but as of now, I'll you decide." She said in a calm tone.

I smiled and said "Thanks, you're the best."
