In the morning Eve did not try to speak y/n out of her decision. She did not seem to succeed, after all, and she did not have any intention to tire herself for nothing.
When y/n saw Billie at the school, she tried to go to his side. Eve did not try to stop that act either.
But another boy stopped her.
"Are you looking for trouble?"
Boy was looking like the correspond of trouble in flesh and blood.
"N-no but I wanna talk to him." She pointed Billie with her head.
"But I don't think he isn't to hear."
"Just let me, okay? He has his own mouth, doesn't he?"
This might have not been the greatest idea, y/n realised.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," said the boy as he let her pass through.
She stopped in front of Billie.
"Hi! I know that we did not start too well but I do think that we can be on good terms?"
He didn't even look at her nor listened, just walked away with his friends.
So, y/n got back to Eve. "You know what? I'm being too naive. You were right." She hated to admit that she was being a fool, to give Eve the glory.
Eve sipped her tea. "Yup."
"And we need a plan," continued y/n, staring where Billie was standing once.
"Ugh okay, okay. I will think of something." Eve rolled her eyes.
In the second class of the day, Eve and y/n were arguing in whispers.
"How can you be so sure that he's carrying that? " asked y/n. She liked what Eve was telling her but there were some missing points.
"He is one of those people. Trust me. I've made some research on him and his friends. He is from one of the worst areas of the city. They came here this year only because their school was shut down. And he did cut your hair. He must have an all-purpose pocketknife or something like that. Even if doesn't, it is just a detail. We can find another reason to call him there."
"And you looked at the schedule, too?" Y/n was impressed.
"Yes." Eve shrugged.
"I was gonna do it anyways. With or without your consent. But other than this knife thing everything has to be perfect. Do you understand?"
"Okay okay... Let me see again." Y/n shook her head.
"First, you're gonna search his bag, in the third period?"
"Exactly."
It was not so hard to find him since he was the one who always found her. Normally it was creepy. But today, she needed him. So that was why Eve put on a little smile and said "Hi!" to Neil.
"H-hi," said back Neil to the gorgeous girl. Oh, how much he loved her!
"I haven't seen you recently. Have you been sick?"
She put her warm hand on his forehead as if she was caring about him.
"No, not really... I was just busy, you know with that project." He was looking proud and happy that finally he was talking to his love and seeing her caring about him.
"Oh, yes. I remember you told me about that." She had completely no idea what he was talking about. "I am sure you..." She paused for a moment. Her smile faded. She took a deep breath as if she could barely contain herself.
