Billie counted the money once more. He knew how much exactly it was. But he wanted to see it once again. His hard-earned money. That money was going to set him free from both Camillia and the debt he got in. It was finally over. So, he knocked on the door. If his mum knew what he had done to earn it. She would have a heart attack. He told him that he got a part-time job and that he was going to earn the money. It was not a lie. But he could not even imagine his mum supporting his decision to work as a drug runner.

"Come in!" Principal's voice heard. It was a Friday after a long week.

He had had enough of those new students. All they did was to get into trouble.

Billie got in quietly. He put the envelope on the table.

Principal looked at the envelope as if he wanted to understand what it was. Then asked, "What's that?"

"The money. Let me remind you have forgotten. You have found me guilty of keying an expensive car. Which belong to one of our teachers. She refuses to get in any kind of contact with me. So, she would be more comfortable if you give her the money. "

"No, I didn't forget it. It's been paid." He said without caring. He turned back to his computer. He had so much to do.

"What?" Billie questioned.

"Paid? But who wou- Shit!" he thought.

"You heard me, son. Now if you let me, I have a job to do," responded Mr. Gilles.

"Please don't call me son sir," Billie said, irritated. "May I know who paid it?"

"I cannot name names." Mr. Gilles was trying to send the boy out of his office.

Billie grinned. All of his work, risking getting arrested was for nothing. He left the office without saying any more.

"Mr. Kerrigan!" Eve rushed a little to catch her teacher. It was Monday. The weekend had been like a hell for her. After completing all her homework, she worked hard on something else. "Mr. Kerrigan..." she said again trying to catch her breath.

"Oh! Ms. Cheung! It's good to see you! How was your weekend?" He was smiling friendly while speaking. Eve would always come to his side to talk. They had become some teacher-student buddies.

"It was great." She lied. "I hope you are also fine. You were going to watch that movie Ii told you about. Did you like it?"

"Yeah! I watched it and it was great, really good choice of yours!" His smile did not seem to fade quickly.

She was trying to not to blush. "I... I actually wrote a book review about Henrik Ibsen's A Public Enemy. I wanted to show you. So, you can tell me your opinions about both the play and my critics." She was being honest about it. She wanted to be closer to him, know more about his ideas and ideals and she also wanted him to see her sharp wits and appreciate her.

"Oh, dear! That's great! Just drop it off my desk, shall you?" His face seemed to get serious. "I'm heading to Mr. Gilles' office."

"I hope everything is alright sir?" She saw the change in his expression.

"Yes." From the change of his posture, it could be understood that he was not going to talk about this. He looks down to his watch. "I'm in a hurry." As he walks away, he looks back at Eve and mouths "Drop it on the desk"

"Ok-okay." was all she could say while she felt a heavy rock sitting slowly on her chest.

And the bell rang. It was one of the most beautiful sounds that a student could here. Y/n was walking alone. After her argument with Eve, Eve was not talking to y/n and she did not want to be the naive one, again. She slowly heading home. If someone watched her as she walked all alone, they could feel some melancholy.
