Chapter 3

She gave me a thoughtful look causing her eyebrows to furrow together , uh oh.. "Starbucks and movies!!!!" She practically screamed. Woah, and she's only 5?
"Uh I don't know skylinn." She looked at me like I was dumb.
"it's a yes!" She snapped her fingers and jumped off the couch. I groaned. While grabbing my keys and phone. "Hayes we're going to Starbucks."
"I'm coming!" He screamed back. We all get into my car and Hayes starts playing the music loudly. His head bobbed to the music and I just smiled. This job is actually going really well and I  love these kids already. The song ended as we pulled into the Starbucks parking lot and I grabbed skylinns hand with Hayes behind us. We go and order, Skylinn and Hayes get the same which was a cotton candy frap and I got my favorite which was a caramel frap. The waiter handed us out drinks and he winked at me, and I scowl in return. Could he be just a little more settle? When I grabbed my drink a paper was attached to it which was his number. I ripped it off and threw it on the floor. He gave me a blank expression and I just rolled my eyes. I drove us to their neighborhood park and skylinn sped off to the slides while Hayes ran up to my side quickly after.
"Hey.." He trailed off seeming nervous.
" hey"I smiled brightly.
"Do you like Nash?" I thought about his question. I already knew it was a no. I love is vines and all, I mean he's really funny and cute but "No" I said. He gave me a I-don't-believe-you look and I just shrugged.
"well I know he likes you. As soon as he saw you he wouldn't stop staring at you and he hugged you and after he wouldn't stop smiling it's was getting to the point where I wanted to smack him " I felt myself smile and laughed but pushing it off. How could he like someone like me? I have no chance with him us he doesn't even know me. "He was probably just trying to be nice" he rolled his eyes and replied with a sassy "mmhm". We go to grab sky and drive home. I pulled Into the long driveway and saw someone's car I wonder who. Maybe the dads?
"MATTHEW IS HERE!!" Hayes yelled answering my past thought.
"Owww don't scream in my ear!" I snapped and swatted him away. He just laughed and jumped out of the car. I unbuckled and grabbed skylinn, walking inside. By the time I got there I saw 5 boys sitting in the living room. I let go of sky gently placing her one the ground "go wash your hands and put your shoes away please" I whisper to sky hoping I won't be noticed. She runs upstairs I try sneaking into the kitchen but Hayes had to ruin it.
"Brook!! Come here and meet the boys!" He yelled. God dammit Hayes! I will get revenge. I slowly walked into the room and all eyes were on me. There sat Matt, Hayes, Taylor, Cameron, and Aaron. They wouldn't look away. I just looked down at my feet hoping someone will speak up.

"Hey" I said shyly I struggle to keep my eyes on the fuzzy blue carpet underneath the couches . They all muttered heys not seeming to be able to hold out a openly conversation . Then I hear a car pulling into the driveway and 5 seconds later Nash runs in. He looks at me and then the boys. When he looked back at me he had this emotion in his eyes I couldn't quite figure out but he shook his head putting on a tight smile looking back at the boys.
