Janus' P.O.V
I slowly stretched my arms up as I awoke from my rest, my tail still coiled within my nest before I changed to my humanoid form. As I walked through my makeshift home that was based in an abandoned cave at the safest section of Serpent Valley. As I reached the front of my cave home, I did not expect to hear the bawling of a young child. Looking around the entrance of my cave and spotting a small bundle wrapped in green. I slowly walked over as to not startle the poor child before picking them up, they appeared to be roughly a year old. Carefully placing the small creature on the ground, I unwrapped the blanket to see the child had four adorable green tentacles growing from their back, dark brown hair and vibrant green eyes. I smiled down at the abandoned child as it's tentacles attached themselves to my hand. Vibrant green eyes staring up at me as they giggled. I chuckled at the youngest antics, I checked their body for injuries and current gender until they chose otherwise. Male. I whisked the baby into my arms before retreating into my home as I started on my list of things to do now that I have takèn on the task of raising this child. Firstly being the obtaining of proper supplies to sustain this young life. Secondly being the baby proofing and renovating of my cave dwelling. I glanced down at the nameless child that I have decided to adopt. "I shall name you, Remus" I said as I looked joyfully upon my new son. His only reply being signs of wonderment and happiness. I couldn't wait for the future to follow.
~Two Years Later~
I yawned as I stirred the potion mixture while my now three year old son coloured in his new colouring book. I smiled and grabbed the jar containing arachne webbing. I needed to get more. "Shit" I swore before adding the last of it to my potion. I turned around to Remus. "Your coming with me to get more arachne webbing, behave" I stated before returning to finishing my potion and covering the pot. "Yes, mama!" He yelled while putting on his combat boots and dark green hoodie. I sighed, I don't even know where he got that name from or why he chose to call me by it. I grabbed my own cloak and satchel before picked up the octochild and slithering out of our cave, making sure to lock the door behind me. Now we just had to reach Arachne Mines safely and without the loss of my curious child.
~Two Hours Later~
I hissed in annoyance as I strangled a rabid werecat with my tail while Remus watched from my lap like it was the best show he's ever seen. "Now, Remus, what did I say not to do?" I asked the child. "To not go near the puttycat" he said solemnly. I nodded before setting him gently on the ground. "Now Don't listen to me during the rest of the journey" I warned the rambunctious child. Swiftly, I injected the half human with my venom, the feline writhing in pain as it slowly died. "Come along Remus, and No more wondering off" I stated while picking up the child and getting him to attach his tentacles to my torso.
~Five Days Later~
We finally arrived at the entrance of Arachne Mines. I slowly slithered down the entrance, only to see that they have been attacked by the monster hunter's. I cautiously looked around in case the hunter's were still around before sighing with relief and pity. I grabbed incense from my bag and set it alight, it would tell me if their were any survivors while I looked through the wreckage. Thank the Lord Remus was currently asleep, he may like torturing and maiming other creatures, but he fucking loved spiders. As I arrived to the throne room, guided by the incense smoke, I heard the cries of a baby spider. I turned into my humanoid form and ran to the compartment underneath the throne. I slowly pushed the throne aside and climbed down into the Kings home. I turned on the torch and found the Arachne Kings only unisex son, Virgilious, crying as they moved around in the center of the Kings web. I slowly and carefully stretch up and grab the child. As I descend, I notice a purple tarantula stuffie that Virgilious must have dropped. I sighed as I unwrapped him from his parent's protective webbing and changed him into a new diaper and onesie that were in a chest of drawers. I found a purple blanket, purple spider pacifier and more supplies for him. I also found his crown and his information book. I placed these items in another satchel I found before exiting the secret home. I shoved the throne back in place before escaping the ruins as fast as possible. As I finally got a safe distance away from the ruins, I looked down at the Arachne Prince. He had four purple spider legs coming out of his back, short black hair with purple tips and heterochromia. His left eye a vibrant green while his right a vibrant purple. I smiled down at the young child before s shifting to my naga form and making my journey home.
Patton's P.O.V
I smirked as the human ran off with the Arachne Prince. I looked over at my husband, "Let's go check out that secret room shall we?" Roman looked at me with a cruel smirk. "We'll capture the Prince another day" he nodded as we started the climb through the ruins towards the ruins.
