"Oh no you don't!!" I race after her towards the house and catch up with her in a matter of seconds. I push her playfully and get ahead of her. I won! Once we got inside, she looks at me with those beautiful eyes of hers then looks at the ground shyly.

"Did you really mean what you said earlier? I mean, er, you said everything was going to be okay and that you were here for me."

I pull her chin up to look me in the eyes. "Of course I meant that! Why would I lie?"

She looks at the ground before looking at me, "Then why did you hate me so much when I first showed up? You were saying like how stubborn I was, and how you wish you weren't my tutor and everything."  Her voice went gradually into a whisper. "And now your saying that your always here for me? I just don't get it."   She looks at the ground once again, but I pull her chin up so I can look at her beautiful brown eyes.

"I didn't hate you. And I know I said you were stubborn, but that's only because I've missed you and I don't know how to control myself around you. I...I don't know how to say it..."

"You can tell me, you know." She says to me.

"Okay. So, you know when I left school and told everybody that I was going to California, the hardest person to tell it to was you. I've always liked you. And, when you got bullied one day, I realized how much you meant to me.  Do you remember when I told you I was moving? I said, 'I will always remember you.' That was true. You were on my mind everyday for about a year. Then, I told myself I would have to get over you; that I would never see you again. But, one day I got called down to the office. The Head Master told me I would have to mentor a girl named Caitlyn Clarine from Northwoods High. You should have been there. Apparently I had this look on my face of excitement or something...That's what people told me when I went back to class. And yes, you still have to take classes in this school if you didn't know already. But, they aren't regular classes. They teach you on how to defend yourselves and other things on wolves. But, you will still have a class where you can pick like, wood-shop or Spanish or something."

She is staring at me in shock. I say to her, "Aren't you gonna say something?"

She shakes her head, "Sorry...But, did you say you actually LIKED me? Or am I crazy??"

I start laughing nervously. "No, I like you....A lot..." I look shyly at the ground. There was an awkward silence hanging in the air.

"Okay.....Awkward silence." She says aloud. I start laughing because that's just what I was thinking. I was getting uncomfortable so I started rocking back and forth on my two feet.

"So...We better go get you cleaned up then." I motioned for her where the bathroom was. She started walking so I started following her. She stops abruptly and turns around. We were about an inch apart now.

"What would you do if I said I liked you to?" I could not believe it! Either she likes me, or she was just teasing me.

I look at her and close the gap between us. "I would kiss you." I move the hair from out of her face. The next thing I know, she's kissing me. When she pulled away, I let out the breath I didn't know I've been holding. Whoah! Caitlyn just kissed me!! Whoo! Calm yourself Dylan. Don't get too overwhelmed now.

Caitlyn's POV

OMG! I can't believe I just did that!!! I finally got the confidence to do it!!!! Man, I can't believe this was my first kiss....Well, that's a lie. I did kiss him outside but that doesn't count. I can't believe this just happened!!!!  I walk into the bathroom and screech out in horror as I see myself in the mirror. I can't believe he just let me look this hideous. Now I know why he was laughing at me earlier. I can't help it but I burst out laughing and soon, so is Dylan.

Once I'm all cleaned up, we get situated in the kitchen. He says to me, "So, you know the first rule, never talk to the Guardians without being talked to and never interrupt them--"

I interrupt him... Good thing he's not a Guardian. "Wait, you still didn't tell me who the Guardian's are."

"Oh, right.... The Guardians are the rulers of the pack. You have a question, you ask them. You want to be connected with your mate, you ask them."

"Wait, what do you mean by 'connected?" I asked him.

The look he has on his face is one of understanding. "You know how humans get married? This is basically the same thing, but for us werewolves. Oh, and the Guardians are to take up any issues like, if you were to run off like some lady did years ago, and communicate with humans, the Guardians would decide your fate. The lady then had to get dosed with an antidote to make her not shift into a werewolf at all anymore, because she broke the rules."

"Okay, so if I were to get into a fight with someone, the Guardians would take care of the issue?"

He looks at me and says, "No, the Head Master would fix that issue. Only if it's something BIG would they need to take care of an issue."

"Wait, you know how you said that there was a woman who ran away and talked to humans?" he nodded his head. "That was my mom."

Hey Guys! Sorry, I just looked back at this chapter and realized it was lke super short! Sorry! I promise they'll get longer!
