Oakleys POV

It's been 3 weeks since Rudy and I's first date. Since then, we have gone on a few more and they have all gone really well. The only thing is... Rudy hasn't asked me out yet. Part of me knows it's because he's only waiting until I'm ready, but the other part of me just wants him to ask the damn question already.

The OBX cast including myself, along with Lilah and Elaine are at the beach. Jonas thought everyone could use a day for relaxing so that's what we are doing. At the moment I'm sitting on the sand,  looking out at the group in the water messing around. What catches my eye the most is how close Elaine is to Rudy and how touchy she is with him. I'll be honest, it's making me jealous.

I know I told him that I wanted to take things slow and I'm happy that he respects that, but something about seeing another girl around him hits a nerve.

I'm brought out of my thoughts when all of a sudden I feel water being thrown on me.

"RUDY PANKOW, YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT!"

He looks at me while trying hard not to laugh, "Oops."

I get up and start chasing him into the water where I end up jumping on his back, making us both fall into the water laughing. As we are doing this, I glance over and see Elaine giving me this annoyed and bitchy look. I don't think anything of it and turn back to look at Rudy,

"I really hate you at the moment."

"That's bullshit, you could never hate me Oakley." I roll my eyes and splash him again.

The sun is now starting to go down but we are still at the beach, now having a bonfire.

"Hey Oakley, can I talk to you for a second?"

I lift my head up off of Rudy's shoulder to see Elaine, "uh yeah sure."

I get up and we walk down the beach a little so we are away from the group. We sit down on the warm sand.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"I just want you to know that you need to stay away from Rudy, okay? I don't know if you knew this but before I left to go visit some family, me and Rudy had a thing. And then I come back and see you all touchy with him... so like, fuck off."

I look at her in shock but then I start laughing, "Elaine are you on drugs? Look I know y'all had something before this show started to shoot but it obviously didn't mean anything to Rudy because we have been on a few dates, not to mention we've kissed... so I'm sorry but no. I'm not going to back off Rudy. If anything, you need to back off. Rudy would have told me if it was anything serious and we wouldn't be where we are now, but that's not the case," at this point I was pissed, "Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go back to the group, unless you have anything else you want to bitch about?"

She didn't speak so I walk back to the group and sit back down by Rudy. He then wrapped his arms around me.

"Are you okay?"

I give him a fake smile, "I'll tell you later. Right now I just want to be around this bonfire with the ones I love," with that I lean my head back on Rudy's shoulder. I feel him kiss my head and I smile, listening to Drew talk about some dumb shit.
