Oakley's POV

And I gave him a second chance... which brings us to the present.

"I still don't understand why you gave that jerk another chance."

"I don't know Emma, maybe because he's the father of my child and I don't want Amelia to have to go from home to home. she deserves to be in one home with both parents... plus I never really did stop loving him. he really does make me happy and that's all that matters," I tell her.

Emma sighs, "I know Oak and I'm happy that you're happy but I swear if he hurts you again I'm cutting off his dick and feeding it to the fish."

I laugh at her words when suddenly Rudy comes downstairs with Amelia in his arms.

"hi baby girl. did you have a nice nap?"

Amelia just nods before laying her head back down on Rudy's chest which makes my heart melt. The love she has for her daddy is adorable.

Later in the day, Rudy asked me to go on a date with him while Mads and Chase watch Amelia.

I'm currently letting Emma once again torture me by basically trying to poke my eyes out.

"Em I've said this before and I'll say it again. if you try to poke my eye out one more damn time with that eyeliner, I'm pushing you out the window."

She ignores me and continues to, in her words, "make me a sexy goddess." 

After about 30 more minutes, she was done. I head downstairs and Rudy is letting Mads and Chase know what all Amelia would need for the night.

"Okay Maddie, you have my number and Rudy's. I also wrote down Amelia's schedule for the night."

"babes you and Rudy are just going out for a few hours- not for a week," Mads replies while laughing.

"well I'm sorry for being a parent."

"okay baby girl, daddy and I are going out for a bit but I'll see you later," I quickly kiss her chubby cheek and then Rudy and I leave.

Once we get in the car Rudy reaches over and puts his hand on my thigh and gently rubs it.

"so Rudeth where are you taking me?"

he glances over and smiles, "now why would I tell you that if it's a surprise?"

I playfully roll my eyes and look out the window, thinking about how grateful I am for the life I'm living.

I must have been too lost in my thoughts because Rudy gently nudges me, "Hey baby. We are here but I'm gonna need you to put this blindfold on."

I quickly do what he says and he carefully helps me out of the car.

As we are walking, I start to smell salt in the air and realize we are at the beach.

"okay you can take it off..."

and when I do I'm in awe at the cute little picnic that is set up in front of me, the setting sun a perfect background.

"Rudy this is amazing, I love it."

We sit on the sand and enjoy each other's company. after we are finished eating, I decide to get up and walk to the water. When I realize Rudy isn't by my side, I turn around but I was met with a surpise when I noticed that Rudy was down on one knee... and that's when I put my hands to my mouth in shock.

"Oakley North, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you or Amelia in my life. you have changed me for the better and I'm so grateful for that. I'm also so damn grateful that you gave me another chance even though I don't deserve it... because honestly Oakley you deserve so much better. you and Amelia both do, but I promise I will do my damn best to be a better person because you are the love of my life.. so Oakley North will you do me the honors of being my wife?"

Once he finishes talking, he pulls out the most beautiful ring and I had so many tears in my eyes, "Oh my God, Rudy yes I will marry you!"

I throw myself into his arms and we stand there in content, loving every moment of it.

In that second I knew that I was meant to be here having this moment with the love of my life... and to think it all started with us meeting on the set of a tv show.

Holy shit guys it's finished🥺 this book is finally over I'm sad it's over but I'm also so freaking happy I never thought that one of my story's would get so many reads or so much amazing feed back and I just wanna say thank you even tho I had major writers block you all understood and After months I finally got this done!
