My hands nervously began to shake at Oscar's reply. Tonight? He really was willing to risk whatever it took, to see me. Is this considered too fast? I just met him earlier today! Maybe, this is what it takes to become popular? I shook my head rapidly disagreeing with my thoughts. No, no, no Dazie. That's definitely not how you become popular. Why would you want to become popular anyway?

My phone started to vibrate rapidly, signaling that a call was coming through. I closed my eyes tightly, noticing who was calling. I took a deep breath, in attempt to calm my anxiety.

"Hello?"
"Hey, rupunzel." I heard the confidence in his voice.
"H-heyyy." I tried to sound as enthusiastic as possible.
"So," he cleared his throat before continuing. "How about it?"
"How about what?"
He sucked his teeth in annoyance, "C'mon girl. Are you coming out tonight or what? It's Fri-yay!"
"I was going to stay in tonight, Oscar. It's already late an—"Oh, blah blah!" He interjected. Why is everyone always interrupting me? "Live a little Daze."
I frowned and replied "I do live. I choose not to go out because, for one my parents want me home, and two, I'm not in the mood to go out tonight."
Crickets.
"Well, how about I come to you?"
"W-what?" I asked nervously.
"Yeah, how about I come to you, instead? We don't have to go anywhere. I'll throw stones at your window until you let down your hair!" He chuckled.
"Mm, I don't think that's how the story goes."
"We can make our own."
I swallowed hard at his response. Our own? Us? Together? A couple?
"Daze?"
"Yes?" I replied sharply as my thoughts vanished.
"Send me your location." He sung. "You know that song?"
I giggled lightly, "Yes I know that song."
"So, what are you waiting for?"

Alex: Sleeping?

Oh my gosh! What is happening? I have Oscar on the line, Alex texting me. Me wanting Oscar to come see me, but then not wanting him to. Wouldn't I be cheating on Alex if Oscar came? Why is everyone suddenly wanting me? Not everyone, but you catch my drift.

I'm pretty plain looking, if you ask me. A light brown complexion, auburn draped curly hair that stopped before my waist, brown eyes, and a small beauty mark above my lip. Don't see anything special here, people!

"Daze!" He yelped my name. I forgot I was on the phone with him.
"I'm here."
"Send it."
I obeyed him. I didn't think about it. I just did it. Replaying his words over and over again in my head "Live a little, Daze!" Maybe I don't? Maybe I don't get out as much as I think. Tonight, I wanted to prove him and everyone else wrong! I am fun. I am cool. I can plan spontaneous adventures and sneak out of my parent's house! Well.. maybe not the last part.
"I'll be there soon. Don't sleep on me."
"I won't."
Click.

I flung the covers away from my body, speed walking into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth followed by rinsing with mouthwash. Returning back into my room, I opened my closet door, contemplating on which outfit is most appropriate for such an event. Skirt? No. That gives off the impression that, I want him to touch me. Maybe I do want him to. No! Too soon! Jeans? Not a bad idea, but it's a bit humid tonight. Hmm.. I got it! I bit my lower lip while forming a smile; pulling out my favorite ripped shorts. This'll do! I squeezed my shorts on, which felt like forever. Maybe I was beginning to gain some weight. I slipped on a plain white crop top with black writing that said: Stay Weird. I glaced in the mirror, making sure I had nothing on my face, teeth, or any boogers in my nose.

Oscar: let it down.

I figured replying would kill the suspense. I turned off every light in my room, and opened my room window. Luckily, our home doesn't have two stories, or I'll really be screwed with figuring out how to let my hair down. I gently closed the window, leaving a crack for me to return to. Squinting my eyes, trying to spot him, I saw a car easing up by my lawn. The car slowly drove beside the sidewalk. His tinted windows rolled down from the passenger side and he motioned his hand for me to come. I jogged lightly until I reached his car, opening the passenger door to sit down comfortably.

I exhaled a sigh, pumped on adrenaline that I was in Oscar's car. "Hey," I said shyly. "Starting to live, a little huh?" He smiled in a evilish way, perhaps bullying my nerdiness. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny." I folded my arms and looked out the window. "So, where are we going?" I asked. "No where." I positioned myself in his direction. "What do you mean? You're driving. So, there must be a destination." I scrunched my nose, slowly regretting leaving my house. "There isn't a destination, Daze. We're just cruising. You never had a late night cruise?" I looked down at my chipped pink nail polish, ashamed of my lack of "crusies". Geez, I needed them done. "No.. I-I haven't." He shifted his head towards my direction and then back onto the road. "I'm sorry." He finally said. "For what?" I started to admire his bone structure. The way his curls dropped over his cat scratched eyebrows, the way his forearm flexed as he gripped the streering wheel. Why is he so attractive right now? "I'm sorry, that a guy has never taken you on a cruise. Away from everything and everyone." He shrugged his shoulders and changed the subject. "Is everything okay at home? Is your mom still going haywire about you being out right now?" "Tah! I snuck out." He looked back at me, our gazes meeting. "You did, what?!" "I snuck out." I repeated. "To be with me?" He said this as if he wasn't worth the risk. "Uh, yeah."

By the time I blinked, we were parked in an abandoned parking lot. "Why are we here?" "Don't ask any questions." His response caught me so off guard that my neck jolted back. He leaned into my space, as I remained present. The only thing seperating us was the console. My lips slowly parted as his body inched closer. "What.. are you doing?" I asked lowly and nervously. He didn't respond. Instead he placed his thumb over my bottom lip, pulling it down gently enough to show my bottom teeth. Pushing my curls behind my ears, he cupped my face with both hands, touching his lips with mine. He took my breath away. The passion between us couldn't be explained; as words can't define it. I pushed my body closer, pressing my breast against his firm chest. My heart rate started to increase. I'm more than certain he felt it through our pressed bodies. He bit my bottom lip with his teeth, and mumbled lowly, "I'm so attracted to you." I whispered, "As am I, O." He lightly snickered looking down as if he was just as nervous as I was, "That's cute. How about we make ourselves comfortable and go to the back?" I gently pushed him off, "No! Are you crazy? We just met. I mean.. I know, we kissed but I'm not going that far with you." "I'm sorry if it came off that way. I don't want to have sex. I just want to know you." Our gazes met, and I never seen such beauty. "You can know me." I replied gently. "Then let me." He extended his arm directing me towards the back seat.

I took one last look at him and made my way to the back.
