Nayeli-

The rest of the pack seemed to dwindle away, at this point his parents had parted also. Yet, I kind find the strength to move. I can feel the soft moss forming around my shoes, as I sink in the the green mass. Mom and Dad have been patiently waiting in the car for me but I can't leave just yet, because once I'm gone, I'm gone this time. This decision is going to break many hearts, but for my happiness in the long run I need to do it. My bag is still in the car so it's best I get it and be on my way. There was only about twenty feet between my and them at this point, I could feel my heart start pounding faster. Onida surfaced, "Nayeli, just remember when you feel you have lost your strength, I am here and will always be here. Just cause we didn't see eye to eye on Lakken, doesn't mean I can't feel the heart break. We'll get through this, I promise." Thank you Onida, after all this, I vow to build a better relationship with you. Cause before long it'll be you and I against the world. I looked up and they had both exited the car and stood side by side waiting for me to speak.

N-"Mom, Dad."

M-"Are you ready to go, sweetie?"

N-"About that, I need some space. Give me a week away then I promise to start engaging again, but being cooped in the house has done nothing but haunt my healing process. I have Onida, she'll help me heal and cope"

D-"Are you sure, we can give you more space at home."

N-"I've thought this through and I even brought a bag packed with clothes. One week, just give me one week and I'll get back into routine the best I can."

M-"Okay, one week, that's all you get. You know I'll be worried sick"

N-"I'll be okay, momma, I promise."

I had to turn my face or mom would, no doubt, know something was up. Lying to her is super hard, that damn parental sixth sense. Trying to play it off, like everything is all peachy keen, I walked to the back of the car. Dad went ahead and pushed the trunk release button under the steering wheel. Either I'm paranoid and anxious as hell or the trunk seemed to take ages to fully pop open. Eager to go, I grabbed my duffle and shut that sucker three times faster than it had opened. As I walked back around the car, I could see mom leaning in the window of the passenger seat digging in her purse. I brushed off to mom just being mom, I gave dad a massive hug. He wrapped his arms around me but clearly this was just normal hug for him. I could tell I caught him off guard cause he completely tensed up, but that eased once he hugged back. Mom walked back around the front of the car and stood beside dad. She stuffed something in the front pocket of my duffle, but it didn't really register at that particular moment.

M-"Is he getting all the lovins, or does your momma get some too."

The tears couldn't be avoided any longer as I trough myself into my mothers arms. I weaved into her shoulder.

M-"Oh Nay, it's okay, we know you need this. We know you'll be home before we know."

N-"Yes, momma, you are right. Just remember, I love you two with all my heart. Never forget that! I best get going now, so I can get situated before dark. I'll see you soon"

With that little white lie, I turned an left. The engine soon turned over and from a distance I could hear them pulling away. The duffle bag was chosen on purpose, as after shifting I can wiggle it over my head and travel at a faster pace. I have to make to the city, they'll never search for me there. Onida, once we get there, can you mask us just in case we hit another territory? Took her a few seconds but she responded, "of course, whenever you're ready, not even your family will be able to find us." Perfect let's shift and start moving.

Remi-

Dinner was started, although, I'm not sure I did it right. Hopefully, mom can add her magic touch and make it superb like she always does. After such a sad day, moms fine china should add the perfect touch. She had to have one of the rarest sets, as I have never seen one even close to her design. Before grabbing them, I couldn't help but stare at their unique patters. Each plat perfectly rounded, covered in what looks like a majestic blue hazy background. At the bottom of each plate, sets a white silhouette of a female and right beside her was a wolf. The beautiful scene is, as if, you were watching from behind as they star gaze up to the stars and the moon. By far the best set ever, I quickly, grab enough to set the table for four. As I was setting them down, mom walked in behind and gave me a quick lecture.

M-"You best be careful, boy. Those are my one of a kind, hand craft china sets you have. You only need three sets."

Completely, confused at this point, I just sat down everything that I was still holding.

R-"Why three, where's Nayeli."

M-"She's taking time to her self, Remi, she needs it."

R-"You okayed this? How long will she be gone?"

M-"Just one week, then she'll be back home."

Outraged at the fact they just let her go, she's never been away from us. Why would they do this when she's vulnerable. Pissed off, I barged right into dad's office.

R-"What the fuck, dad? Did you okay this too."

D-"First of all, tone back that attitude and show me some respect, son. You are twenty-seven, act like it. Secondly, yes I did, she needs this. She also promised that when she came back, she would engage more and pick up more responsibilities."

R-"Do you believe her?"

D-"Of course, I do. Like your mother has said, over and over, she's just hurt. Let her mourn the way she wants to, it'll make it an easier process for her"

R-"Fine, I'm gonna go check in with Darren, to make sure everything with the rogue went as planned."

When the door shut, I dug into my pockets to grab my phone and realized it was in my bedroom. Brisk walking, I went in real quick and started digging through my dirty clothes basket. "I know it's in here somewhere." A thud was abrupt, right after I shook the last pair of shorts. Swiping through the notifications, I managed to clear them all. "There is no sense in 200 emails, junk emails at that. No I don't want 25% an order of three or more wolfspane bottles. What kind of fucked up joke is this. My email is trying to kill me now great." Thankfully, Darren was the last person I talked to, as his name was right on top of my most recent call list.

"Hey man, meet me at the perimeter in twenty. I'm gonna eat dinner then I'll be there.

Nayeli-

We make it to the tree line just outside the train station, so Onida drops the duffle and I shift back to change. After, I slipped my last sneaker on and headed to buy my ticket. Waiting in line was an absolute drag. Between being elbowed and little tots constantly stepping on my toes, it was finally my turn.

Booking Clerk-"What will it be today, ma'am?"

N-"One ticket to Nashville, please."

Booking Clerk-"One way or round trip?"

That question really sank in and made this more of a reality.

Booking Clerk-"Ma'am?"

N-"Sorry, one way please."
