"Truth can set you free" they say, but for Ludwig truth somewhat begets hatred for he learned it can smack you in the face without hesitation. His new found friend now lay in his shoulder, sleeping peacefully. He wondered if she's dreaming or just drifting in amass of emptiness much like she is when she wakes up. He sincerely hoped her consciousness was in a nice place for he knew when she opens her eyes she'll be in her own personal hell again. He did not understand what made her the way she is, she must have a loving family for he noticed she kept on texting someone who was surely worried and she's someone rich enough to allow her to travel in a strange unknown country without much worry. It's this stifling feeling that kept bothering him; curiosity. He knew better than to judge a person for he also is facing a difficulty. They were the same, the both ran away and both scared to face their realities; for her is that, there is still a side of her consciousness who hopes to be saved and for him was that he was losing time, fast.

Fresh memories came rushing to him; the lights, the stage and the applause, soon after was the tremendous pain and the shouts, and then, light again but a different shade, a whiter shade, a hospital light. The stretcher and the masked beings who in no doubt will bring him a piece of information that will soon change his life and those around him.

A woman who's dying inside but body's refuse to give in to her desire of death, and a man longing for more time but heavens forbids his wish. A perfect combination.

He chuckled with the morbid thought. At least he wanted to ease his curiosity and at the same time help this frail young lady on her way to redemption. Who knows maybe he'll find something important too but for now he just wanted a companion that has no idea who he is and who does not know what his going through and in exchange he'll show her the beauty in living and make her feel that she who has time must cherish it.

"Hey" a nudge was all it took to wake Claire from her ever light slumber. Her eyes opened and saw her seatmate who's looking at her with his usual grin. She began to scan her surroundings, from her window to the opposite side of her seat. She saw a large cathedral erected with its proud age while on the other was a plaza busy with their own business.

"You should arrange your things first before we go down" she looked at her seat and saw only her headset but on Ludwig's side was a mess

"Shouldn't you be saying that to yourself?" she stretched while saying "I'll wait for you outside"

"Hey you shouldn't talk to your elders that way!"

"You even laughed when I called you punk" she said with a bored attitude

"And besides-"she halted. Sudden confusion arise from her mind.

"How old are you?"

He pursed his lips and gave a shy smile. "twenty-five"

She knit her eyebrow and sigh "How old do you think I am?"

"14?" she was taken aback by his response. 14?! Do I look like a damn whining teenager to you? She thought.

"I'm already twenty. I'll wait for you outside" she repeated. Surprised by her age. He stared at her and wondered if he offended her and chuckled. Talk about cranky.
