~3rd Person POV~

Ella cries out in pain as she struggles to sit up and remove the iron bar that has made its home through her stomach, though her dwindling strength making it impossible for her to accomplish the task.

To make matters worse, the corrupted from the crane have made their way over to her, spitting, sputtering, and screaming to get a bite as the sent of the blood pooling underneath her enters what little is left of their senses.

Cursing under his breath, Texas manages to kill off the corrupted in front of him and run to her aid, striking down the last of them in front of her.

"Pretty sure I broke at least 2 ribs." she grunts, pressing her arms underneath her so Texas can raise her up and get her out of the iron rod.

Struggling to keep tears at bay, the dirty rusted iron rubs against her insides as it is being brought out of her body. Once it has been removed, she doubles over and puts a hand to her wound, trying to keep pressure until they can find a safe place to tend to her injuries.

"There will be more soon..." she chokes on her words in pain, trying to catch her breath. "We have to go."

Going around to her other side, the man next to her mutters a small 'Come on, kid.', as he takes one of her arms and wraps it around his shoulder, standing up and helping her walk and keep steady as they make their way to and through the central building of the construction site, until they finally make it back to the main street.

"Just a little further, around this corner." Ella nods her head to the right before clenching her eyes shut as her knees buckle from beneath her, causing Texas to sit her down for a moment.

"Are they nearby? Your friends?" he asks, knowing that she can't walk anymore without proper treatment.

Nodding her head, her eyes just barely open from their clenched state as her hand stays glued to her wound, "An old drug store, they should be there. I think it was next to some music shop called Tony's."

"Tony's Music, that's just down the street. Ok, you're obviously not going anywhere right now so I will be right back with your friends and a medical kit. Keep pressure on that and stay out of sight." he orders, running down the street she had pointed to just seconds before she collapsed.

"Aye aye, captain." she whispers, focusing on her breathing to slow her heart rate.

At hearing rushed steps coming towards them, Zoey and Tristen raise their weapons, ready to fight in case it was a stray corrupted. However, their suspicions are proven false when they see a man slow to a stop when he sees them.

"You guys are Ella's friends right?" he asks, seemingly in a rush.

"Who are you?" Tristen asks, brows furrowing at hearing his long-time friend's name come from a stranger's mouth.

"Texas, now hurry, she's injured." looking at each other for a moment, Zoey and Tristen follow him out the door. Now worried for their friend's safety.

Running back behind the broken down car he had left her, Texas runs back over to Ella with Zoey and Tristen following behind. Once they've reached her, Tristen immediately takes out a medical kit and asks what happened.

"Just fell off the top of a crane at a construction site. You know, the usual." she attempts to laugh, but ends up grunting in pain when pain stikes her broken ribcage.
