•Toms Pov•
"I can't believe Allison is a mum.." I sigh, tossing my gaming remote across the bed.
"Sorry mate.." Haz says.
"I just don't get it.. I figured she left because she was scared of the commitment, of moving away with me and being with me, but then she starts a family with some guy less than a year later?" I say. "How does that even make sense?!"
"It doesn't.. she loved you, man." Haz says.
"She shouldn't have left.. and Audrey should be mine. We could have had something great."
I got over Allison.. or at least I thought I did. I haven't thought about her in a long time, she was just a sweet but tragic memory. Then I walked into the bar and those big beautiful eyes looked at me.. now all I can think about is how much I loved her..
"She said she's single, didn't she?" Haz asks and I roll my eyes.
"She doesn't want to be with me, and quite honestly, I don't trust her anymore. We're in the past." I shake my head.
"You've never loved anyone like you loved her." He says.
"Yeah.. then she left me." I state.

*Allisons pov*
It's Friday and I just dropped Audrey off at school. last night was so fun for her, She absolutely adores Tom and Harrison. Half of me loves seeing her making these connections. Back in New York she would go to school, ballet, occasionally be with the babysitter and the rest of the time she was with me. She had friends at school but there was no family.
The other half of me? Well to say I'm worried would be an understatement. Not to mention the guilt I feel.
"Hey." I say, walking into my parents house.
"Oh hey, I'm glad you came I need help." my mom says from the kitchen. I walk in and see stuff scattered across the kitchen island.
"What are you making?" I ask.
"You remember that really good berry crumble I use to make?" She asks.
"How could I forget? That was my favorite." I say.
"Well I'm making it for the dinner over at the Holland's tonight and-"
"Dinner?" I ask.
"Oh no I forgot to tell you! Nikki said she'd love for all of us to be able to reconnect, so they've kindly invited us over."
"Isn't that weird?" I ask.
"I think it's great." my dad says walking in the kitchen. "Id like for you and Tom to get back into the swing of things."
"Meaning?" I groan. I know exactly what he means.
"Oh I don't know.." he shrugs. "He's a nice lad-"
"That I'm lying to.. have you forgotten?" I laugh.
"I'm just saying Allie, if there's any chance for that little girl to have her father in her life, even if they don't know about it, that's important." he says and I nod, understanding where he's coming from. "And I think tonight is a great way for her to get to know Tom and his family."
"Alright." I agree. "I mean she already adores him, last night they talked about ballet together, she even showed him a few moves."
A smile grew on my face thinking of the connection between the two.
"If you told him the truth you could have that." my mum says, seeing how happy I was about the two bonding.
"Or he could hate me, fight me for custody or be in her life for a few weeks and then leave her for filming. I'm not letting him break her heart." I shake my head.
"Or... it could go right." She says and I frown.
"Please don't make me feel bad for this.. I already feel bad enough." I sigh.
"Maybe you need to stop and think about why you feel bad. You only feel guilt when you know you're doing something wrong Allie. It's not my secret to tell, but if I were you, I'd tell him." my dad says, leaving the room.
"He's right." my mom says.
"Six years mom.." I sigh. "I can't just change my mind after six years."
"You can, But right now I'm not here to make your guilt worse, I'm here to make this berry crumble so are you gunna help or not?" She asks, changing the subject which made me feel so much better.
"I'll help, but only if I get to eat some of those blueberries!" I say, taking a few and popping them into my mouth.

After a day of baking I drive to the school to pick up Audrey. As I pull up to the parking lot, I see her walking down the walkway with another little girl,  both laughing and talking.
She finally made a friend. I don't think I could feel anymore joy than I am right now.
I step out of the car and she runs up to me.
"Momma this is Bella!" She smiles.
"Hi Bella." I smile at the young girl.
"Hi." she waves.
"Hey, I'm Bella's mom." a red haired lady smiles at me, noticing Audrey introducing Bella to me. She seemed to be in her late twenties and had a baby in her arms.
"Allison." I say, shaking her hand.
"Frankie." she introduces herself. "Looks like our girls have befriended each other."
"Suppose they have." I smile.
"Can we hang out momma?" Audrey asks.
"Well tonight we have dinner at Toms, but maybe we can plan something?" I say.
"Absolutely, let me give you my number and we can figure something out this weekend." Frankie says.
She gives me her number and the girls say goodbye.
"So we're having dinner with Tom?!" Audrey asks excitedly as we drive home.
"And his family." I say.
"I'm so excited!" She squeals.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah, I wanna see haz." she says in a tone that makes my eyes go wide.
"Why's that?" I ask.
"He's a cutie!" She says and I laugh.
"He's too old for you sweetie." I say.
"Yeah but those curls!" She says at Harrison's slightly overgrown hair. I facepalm. She definitely got that from me. The curls are our weakness.
"You're too young for boys Audrey." I laugh. "Especially Harrison."
"Nuh- uh!" She protests.
We get to the house and my phone vibrates.
Tom: did you have any idea about tonight?
Allison: not until this morning.
Tom: think our parents are trying something?
Allison: when are they not🙄
Allison: by the way, my daughter now has a crush on haz.
Tom: oh no😂
Allison: her exact words were 'but those curls!'
Tom: huh she definitely is your daughter then. My curls had you weak in the knees😉
Allison: yeah okay big head.
I laugh at the conversation. I missed this dumbass. Sometimes I just wish I could go back in time..
