High School Never Ends

5: Surprise

After I put my flowers in a vase, Carter and I left.

"Carter! Can I please take this off?" I whine, pulling at the bandana he wrapped around my eyes.

"Not yet, love. We're almost there though." Carter says to me, still driving the car, hopefully.

*10 minutes later*

"Here babe, I'm going to help you out of the car, and then we have to walk for a little bit so you might wanna take off your heels." He says to me, opening up my side of the. At door.

He helps me out, and I hold onto his shoulders as I take off my heels. He wraps his arm around my shoulder and starts walking, slowly, for me.

After about 5 minutes of walking, I feel a wood ramp under my feet, and Carter says in three I can take off my blindfold.

"One."

"Two."

"Three!"

I pull off my blindfold and right in front of me is a lantern lit picnic on the beach.

"Carter, this is beautiful! I love it." I say as I run towards the picnic.

"I packed all of your favorite foods. Cheese Toasties, potato crisps, grapes, sweet tea and lemonade." Carter says proudly smiling at me.

"It's wonderful Carter. You did amazing."

"Thanks, I try."

Carter and I had a great time. He kissed me a few times, we ate, watched the stars and played in the water a little bit, time flew by fast.

Carter brought me home at 10:15, and stayed at my house for a little while before leaving to go to his house so he could sleep.

(Because we all know how much the Clifford's love their sleep)

And I, stayed up a little while longer, gushing to dad about how wonderful the date was.

At 12:47, I finally fell asleep, on the couch.
