Alina closed her eyes and turned to face the wardrobe, - 'Stop distracting me.' She spoke irritably. Haider watched her, recollecting Banerjee had called him and informed about Alina's rush home. He smirked to himself. Then, he gently pushed the door, letting it close behind him. And with his gaze glued to her, he took slow steps towards her.

In agitation, Alina turned and dashed into Haider. She looked up at him in annoyance. Here she was worried sick about her phone and this guy was just flocking around.

'Move Haider.' – She pushed him with her fist, but he stood still. She looked at him and shrugged.

'You didn't answer my question.'

Alina rolled her eyes, - 'My phone is missing and you—'

'Why are you worried so much about your phone.' – he held her palm and gently caressed her wrist, - 'And don't you dare, ever.' – Alina winced as he grasped her wrist tightly, - 'roll your eyes at me.' – he pulled her closer and glared into her eyes, - 'Understood.' He said in a low deep voice. Alina stared into his eyes, she recollected their engagement night and flinched.

Haider loosened his grip and brought her hand to his lips. He eyed her as he kissed her wrist. Alina lowered her head, looking away. He sighed and held her shoulders, - 'Love, you can share my phone. After all, we are engaged. What is mine is yours?' He said.

'But my contacts—'

'I can save your parents and Meera's number on my phone.' He suggested. Alina blinked at him. Why would she do that? Also, her phone is her personal and private possession.

'But Mikael—'

Haider held her shoulder tighter and observed her, - 'You are looking so pretty. It is the dress I got for you.' He leaned and Alina felt her breath getting hitched in her throat, - 'You smell divine. The luxury perfume mixed with your sweat. Amazing.' He inhaled deeply whilst caressing her hair with the tip of his nose. Alina's lips quivered as she drew in a sharp breath.

Haider held her hand and placed it over his bare chest and she shuddered because of the electric feel that passed through her, - 'Can you feel my heartbeat? It is beating faster in your presence Alina. Only you can make me go weak.' He grabbed her shoulders again. Alina blinked at him not moving his hand away. He smiled and wrapped his arms securely around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. She quivered in his embrace. He mentally smiled to himself.

Alina felt her legs wobble, her cheeks flushed, and ears burned. The bare touch, the unaltered embrace brought back the memories and feelings from last night. She gathered courage and gently pushed him. Haider moved away, but she avoided his gaze and murmured,

- 'I am getting late.' She pushed past him, but he held her hand.

Haider hugged her from behind, - 'Please don't go.' – he whispered into her eyes and she swallowed softly, - 'I need you.' He brushed his lips over her earlobe. Alina's fingers shook as she tugged her hair behind her ear. Quickly, she licked her lips and closed her eyes. Ignoring her hormones, she held his arms and moved them away.
