Finally, it was time for Bey's birthday party. Of course I was invited. To be fair, seeing her face light up with confusion when I told her who I wanted to come with me, I sort of felt bad for keeping her in the dark about it.
"I'm going with Ari."
At the party, pink and blue lights flashing into our eyes, drinks filled with toxic liquids, there was only one thing I focused on. Trying to have fun.
"Nicki,", Ariana worried. "Are you sure you're okay? We can leave any time."
"Yeah, don't worry," I could barely hear my own voice because of the loud music playing. "What is this whack ass song? Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me?"
"Yuh. It's called Dance Monkey by Tones And I. It's such a bop I listen to it whenever I pleasure my-" She shut her mouth, and looked around the room. "Oh, hi Katy! I didn't see you there!"
"Sorry Nicki, but I gotta go talk to her about math class!", she continued lying. I had to smile, of course I knew what she was doing. "Alrighty, yuh?"
"Go ahead." I said, and rolled my eyes. I loved how silly Ari was.
"Onikaaaa!", I heard a voice proclaim as I walked around the party aimlessly. Of course I recognized the voice. I turned around, and there she was, the birthday girl, as beautiful as ever. Her long brown hair rolled into a bun, I couldn't help but stare at her ethereal beauty. "You came."
"You drank too much, Bey. Of course I came! We're best friends remember."
"We are?", she looked at the ceiling, confused like I've never seen her before.
She walked towardsme, putting her arm around my shoulder, "Wooo! We're best friends and we're having fun!"
Shortly after, her mouth spewed out a disgusting mix of green, brown and yellow leftovers - and though I was disgusted, it also turned me on a little bit.
Everyone laughed at me, but it didn't matter once I saw Bey clinging onto me, fragile as ever, barely keeping herself together. I dragged her upstairs, into her room, dropped her off on her bed and washed off her puke on my clothes. I made sure she was asleep and safe before going downstairs to party again.
I went to get a drink at the table when I first saw him. His eyes were brighter than the sun, reflecting light like that was all they had to do, his flawless skin and light red hair an unusual mix I'd never seen before.
"Hey." I said.
"Sup, puke girl." He smiled and poured a drink into his glass.
"Puke girl, really. I already have a bad reputation?"
"Not really. It was hilarious. Nicki, no?"
He reached out his hand, and I reciprocated.
"You can call me Onika." I said, raising my voice a little.
"Cool, cool," He said, his drink in his hand, with nothing else to do. "I think- I guess I better get going."
I panicked, "Wait-", there was so much I wanted to know about him, but he seemed to be in a rush. "What's your name?"
"Really?", he smiled. "I'm the golden maknae."
"What?
"BTS main vocalist."
I looked very confused, barely aware of what was happening. Of course I heard of BTS before, but I didn't expect one of them to be so hot.
Before turning around, he raised his eyebrows, and smiled a little, "But you can call me Jungkook."
