Chapter 11 - Reunited

*3'd POV* 

Hinata and Haiba spent the rest of their time practicing volleyball. Hinata was extra happy that he wasn't alone and that he helped his friend. "I wish the best for both of them" he thought as he pictured Yaku-san and Lev together. Lev and Yaku suddenly morphed into him and Kageyama, which made him snap out of his thoughts. "That was weird..." he said so himself.
When Shōyo's mom arrived to pick him up, he said goodbye to Lev and hopped in the car. His mother asked him about his day and he just said what every other teenager would normally say:

Hinata: Good.

They didn't exchange any words after that. His mom looked troubled and Hinata didn't dare question it, however he was curious. They parked by a near-by bank, that was so close to a pretty water fountain. Hinata slowly watched as his mother got out of the car and quickly disappeared into the bank, then the beautiful sunset caught his attention. He was stunned.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, his phone buzzed. Shōyo quickly grabbed his phone and saw a new notification from "Kags." He smiled at the name. He decided to change it, because he got over the rejection and all that, he forgave Kageyama, so he didn't want to have him saved in his phone with his full name. That would be awkward. He opened the messenger app and read the new notifications.

Kags
-Hey. What are you doing

Dumb Shrimp
-nothing im waiting for my mom. she had some business to attend in the bank?

Kags
-Which one?

Dumb Shrimp
-dunno it's by a water fountain though im watching the sunset from the parking lot. wish you could see this. 😛

Kags
-Ok, I'm coming to you.

Dumb Shrimp
-wait what!?

Kags
-I was sitting on a bench near the fountain watching the sunset too. I'm right by you. Stay put.

Dumb Shrimp
-HUH?? wait! what??

Kags
-Just wait, dumbass.

And with that, Hinata was left shocked. And surely he saw Kageyama emerge from behind a corner and look around. The shorter male quickly stepped out of the car and waved to Kageyama. Weirdly, the parking lot was completely empty. Guess no one comes to exchange money in the evening. Kageyama noticed him and trotted over.

Hinata: Hey, Kageyama! What were you doing here?
Kageyama: Didn't I tell you? Dumbass...
Hinata: Well why're you in Tokyo?
Kageyama: Because my parents are on a shopping trip.
Hinata: Ah- I see... Well, how are you?
Kageyama: Why am I always the first to text you, idiot?
Hinata: Hey- Don't ignore my question!
Kageyama: You don't ignore mine!
Hinata: I asked you first!
Kageyama: WELL, I'M FINE!
Hinata: Jeez... Jeez... Okay... I don't text you because I don't know what to say.
Kageyama: Ugh... You're so dumb.
Hinata: Oh yeah? I bet my grades are better than yours!
Kageyama: Yeah, right...
Hinata: I bet on ice cream!
Kageyama: Fine, don't cry when I win the bet.

Just barely, Kageyama's grades were better than Hinata's. Just barely. Hinata ended up buying Kageyama vanilla ice cream. They sat down on a bench and Hinata sadly watched the taller male enjoy his snack.

Hinata: You could've chosen a more interesting flavor.
Kageyama: Shut up... And stop looking at me, it's weird.
Hinata: Mmmm!! I also want ice cream!!
Kageyama: That's your own fault, you could've bought some for yourself.
Hinata: I don't have any more money...
Kageyama: Well who's idea was the bet?
Hinata: Awww!
