This is War | Chapter 10 - [Hiding]

“I miss you.” Hannah heard Timothy tell her. She slightly smiled, “I miss…” were the only words she could get out before she heard a door slam shut. “Hannah?” she heard Timothy’s sweet voice. “What the hell are you doing?!” Sebastian yelled before grabbing the phone from her and slamming it on the receiver. “I just…” she couldn’t say much, as his hands were wrapping around her neck. “St...” she couldn’t ever make the whole word out.

He wasn’t cutting off everything. Her ability to breath. Her ability to see. Her ability to talk. Was this really going to be it? Is this how he was going to kill her? She wanted all this pain to be over, but not through death. Through Timothy finding her and this bastard getting arrested. This was it. She was going to die and never see Timothy again. She would never get to marry him. She would never have his babies.

She gasped the air as he let go of her neck. She fell back, slowly catching her breath again. Hannah stared at him. “You never answered my question.” He spoke calmly like he wasn’t just trying to kill her. She said nothing, rubbing her neck. “What the hell were you doing?!” he shouted. She jumped, “I was on the phone.” She croaked through her ackey throat. “I don’t allow you to do that.” He told. “So? I wanted to talk to him.”

“You have me to talk too, darling.”

“But I don’t like you.”

“What was that, missy?”

“You heard me.” Attitude flying through her voice. Over this time she had learned not to talk back to him, but at this moment she didn’t care. She felt his hand slap against her face. Hannah spit in his face before grabbing her cheek.

“You bitch.” He groaned, wiping his face. Hannah took this moment to get up and start running. This place was still different to her. She didn’t know many places to go anymore. So, what was she to do? Run and hide from him? She had tried that once before. This time, she was determined to make it work.

So she kept running, this house was big enough, she would eventually find somewhere decent to hide. “You aren’t going to find anywhere baby.” It was like he was reading her mind. She bit her lip, so hard she slowly tasted blood. That’s when she found it. An unlocked door, to a room she had yet to be in. She entered, closing the door softly and slowly so he couldn’t trace where the sound was coming from.

“Sweetheart? Where are you?” his voice sounded.

She stayed quiet and still.

A door opening sounded, so she began shaking in fear. He was going to check them all.

Another door.

And another.

As he got closer she started to shake more. She took off, making her way into the closet. Another door. She gulped, scared. She piled into the closet, hiding the best she could. And there went the sound of another door. She wasn’t sure how many there were until this room, but she felt him getting closer.

“Baby doll, if you don’t come out, I’ll just have to hurt you even more.” His voice sounded close. But, how close? She wondered.

Then another door open. This one sounded so close, she knew it was this room. She held her breath, breathing through her nose. She wasn’t getting caught. It felt like forever he looked around this one room. She knew she was turning colors. All she wanted to do was let out a breath of air.

The door closed, he stopped looking, and she could breathe again. And she did, but not moving a muscle from this one spot.

She was stuck here… hiding.
