The sound of the door creaking filled their ears

The sound of the door creaking filled their ears. A shiver ran down Lola's spine as the slowly agonising door creaked before she spun to face the door before Chris and Ashley. Her fingers raised to tap Ashley's shoulder, pointing at the door Ashley bravely stepped towards and walked into the room behind it. Locking her in.

Her sobs and shouts coated the air, Chris running up to the door to try and open it with his body force. However, no matter how much he pushed against it, it didn't open. Until he stopped trying and it opened alone. Ashley stopped and calmed herself when she saw the two in front of her, waiting for her patiently.

"Perhaps, Sam went behind there," Lola suggested. Looking into the room, it was possible. There wasn't anywhere else in the house that inclined Sam was hidden there, Lola and Chris walked behind the door and immediately shivered from the cold air that hit their bodies. Lola fastened Josh's jacket before snuggling into it, breathing in his familiar scent before sighing. Why did he have to die? She'd do anything to save him.

Her fingers froze from the drafts of wind that hit her hand which was holding out the flashlight to illuminate the darkness. Lola's eyes scanned the items that were creepy, and unknown about. Lola practically grew up in these mountains alongside the Washington's, and she never knew about this basement.

"Wait, there's whole a new room in here?" Asked Chris, also holding his flashlight to point at a doorway with no door. It was open, almost like it was inviting them in. "I don't know if I can keep going..." Ashley whined as she stared at the door, her lipgloss shining when Chris held his flashlight on her fearful face.

"Ash, we have to find Sam. We can't leave her alone with that fucking pyscho," Lola reminded the girl, taking Ashley's hand to offer her some comfort and warmth.

"Where in the world are we now?" Ashley asked once agreeing to Lola's words. She may be scared but she knew they needed to help and save Sam. Leaving her would be killing her. "Are you kidding me? This is like a whole another hotel. I had no idea this was here!" Explained Chris as they looked around at their surroundings. Lola couldn't believe she had spent so many months here and never succeeded in finding this: "Me neither and we grew up here..." They both smiled at the fond memories — with Josh, Hannah and Beth.

"I mean, it is fucking weird but it's kind of cool," Lola said, breaking the ice with her positive thinking and words, "You know, if we wasn't in this deadly situation." The atmosphere fell gloomy again.

"I really don't think I can take anymore of this," Ashley cried. Chris and Lola watched as her body shook, clearly petrified and worried. "Yeah, I'm about at my limit too," Answered Chris, rubbing his hand up and down Ashley's back. "All I wanted to do was forget last year ever happened. To be honest, I'm not sure what Hannah thought she was doing—"

"—Are you joking? Everyone embarrassed her. In the worse way possible. So, she had a little crush on Mike? She wasn't going to persue anything until she believed Mike wanted to. Yes, she was wrong, but crushes make you do things... She didn't deserve it, neither did Beth," Lola stated, stopping the other two from talking further about what happened last year.

Was Hannah in the wrong? Yes. She knew Mike was dating Emily. However, Lola knew Hannah wasn't going to persue anything with Mike — until she recieved that letter.

Lola's heart fluttered at the mention of Mike. Her mind went scrambled, unable to think straight. They had been trapped on finding Sam, but what about Mike and Jess? Did they know there was a killer out there? Chris gripped onto Lola's arms, keeping her upright when he noticed her going unresponsive.

   "Lo, you okay?" Asked Chris.

His hand let go of Lola's arm as he held them up, making sure to capture her in case she fell. "I'm sorry. I didn't know what I was thinking talking about Hannah like that," Ashley apologised as she offered Lola a smile, one she returned. "It's fine. Just a sensitive topic, right?" Replied Lola.

They continued to walk. The setting only getting colder as a stiffening happened in Lola's cheeks, feeling as they got red from the cold. She watched as the white breath fell from her lips, entertaining her as Chris encouraged Ashley to keep searching for Sam.

The scent of blood filled their noses as they walked into a different room. Lola gagged as the scent was very pungent. Almost like it was fresh. She ignored the buzzing of flies as her hand gripped tightly into her churning stomach as their lights shone on all of the deceased pigs hanging from the ceiling: "I quickly changed my mind about this place being cool!"

"That's us!" Ashley said, the three of them staring at their faces on board, noticing Emily's face was crossed out. "What happened to Em?" Lola asked, looking at the bottom of the board to find blood smeared across it. Wait, where's Mike? Lola being to frantically look around the room for Mike's photo, picking it up from the floor and finding it was untouched. "Thank God," She whispered to herself as she pinned the photo back up.

"What is it? Like a fucking hit list? Christ," Said Chris as his eyes teared from the photos. "If it's a hit list — Matt and Em are in danger," Lola mentioned before the trio walked away from the disturbing board.

"Oh, crap, look at that!" His flashlight landed on the blood painted across the flooring and doors. "Blood?" Ashley asked, shaking her head as she thought of the worse possibility about the blood — it being Sam's. "Let me see if I can get this open," Chris said before he struggled to open a heavy, metal door. He groaned as he kept the door opening, Lola sliding through to help him hold it.

"Wait! I think I just saw Sam," Ashley exclaimed as she looked through some wood. "Then she's in here. Come on, Ashley, this is a heavy door," Lola exclaimed before Ashley nodded her head and walked into the room.

The door slammed shut: "Oh, thank God. I thought that thing was gonna crush me."

   "Please, no!"

Lola froze when she heard Sam's raspy voice scream out. At least she was still alive. Lola followed the sound of Sam, walking into a room that Sam at in before Chris swivelled the chair to find a... dummy?

   "I don't get it."

"It's a dummy, but why is it dressed up like Sam?" Questioned Chris as he moved the dummy of Sam for any clues. "What if it is a distance? Or a warning. Like that hit list. Just a guess," Said Lola before Ashley nodded her head in agreement. Suddenly, Chris was bought to the floor as his mouth was covered with a cloth, watching as he fell unconscious.

The pyscho lunged for Ashley, Ashley lifted her hand and pierced his arm with some scissors she had found. Though, to Lola's dismay, she noticed as the pyscho become furious. "No, no! Live and learn, Ashley. Live and learn," Repeated the pyscho before punching her unconscious. Lola cried out, feeling as the pyscho rushed his hand to her cheek before wiping some blood and dirt from her skin.

She flinched under his touch: "Why are you doing this?"

The pyscho didn't reply, only holding onto Lola with a gentle touch.

"I'm so sorry, Lola," He apologised before covering Lola's nose with a chemical-smelling cloth. He caught Lola's body before she fell to the ground and carried her towards the chairs.
