Lola woke in immense pain. She felt as her forehead was stinging from a cut sliced into it, her head throbbed causing her eyes to hurt. One hand was free, bringing it to reach her forehead as she pulled away to find blood scattered across her fingertips before Lola winced. She recollected the past hours, looking to see Chris and Ashley also tied alongside her on the table. However, the looks of their faces was not fearful but... lovingly. She chuckled: "Finally admitted your love to one another?" Lola's voice was weak and croaky from her lack of hydration, and the tiredness her body endured. Ashley didn't reply but just chuckled, Chris only smiled and nodded his head.
"Hello there, my special, little subjects. Here's the twist, Chris has made one fatal choice already today. And now, he must make another. Chris, you can take that gun in front of you and shoot Ashley, or Lola, or... you can shoot yourself. Whoever is left, can live. The choice is yours!" The manic voice could be heard from the speakers, scaring the three of them. Ashley's cries could be heard as Lola kept her composure as tears threatened her whilst the saws spun towards their heads.
Chris pointed the gun towards the saws, shooting them to stop them. "Don't be so silly, Chris," The pyscho said. Chris held the gun towards Ashley, Lola's eyes widening as he did so. He wouldn't shoot her, would he?
Lola didn't know how to react. Instead, she grabbed the gun to face it away from Ashley before she faced it to herself. "Shoot me, Chris. You can shoot me," Lola said. She wanted them all to survive, but, she placed others before herself. "I don't want to!" Cried Chris.
A shakey breath escaped Lola's lips before she nodded her head: "It's okay."
A gunshot was heard and the room went black. Lola squinted her eyes, expecting her fate before shuffling in her seat. Nothing happened. Suddenly, the pyscho walked in and Chris had the gun held towards him, shooting him a couple of times.
"Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris. You've heard of blanks before? I mean, really?" The pyscho removed his mask. Lola gasped as she saw the person hidden beneath it, the person who had caused all of this.
Joshua Washington.
Scuffled footsteps of Mike and Sam could be heard as they reached the three tied up. Lola felt the tightness of the rope relieve from her hand as Mike loosened the tie, hands reaching the cut amongst her forehead. Her eyes glistened with tears before Mike held her hand, lifting her body into his.
His hands caught into her hair as their hug become close. Lola sniffled into his shoulder as she allowed tears to fall. "I thought you didn't make it..." Whispered Lola, hearing as Mike hushed her cries before stroking his hand in her red hair. "Like I'd ever leave you," Mike laughed before placing a gentle kiss on forehead, hearing the laugh of Josh.
"Everyone of you got my name! And after all you've been through. Good, good, good, good. I mean how does that feel? Right? How does it feel? Do you enjoy feeling terrorised, humiliated, I mean, panicked? All those emotions my sisters got to feel once, a year ago! Only guess what, they didn't get to laugh it off. No, no, no. They're gone!" Josh spoke, repeating some parts of his sentences before Lola removed herself from Mike's grip.
She turned to face him. Was he off his medication? "I don't know if you've noticed this, Josh, but none of us are laughing!" Mike exclaimed before holding onto Lola's hand, he was still unsure of Josh's behaviour, so, he wanted to keep her close.
"Oh, come on, why the long faces? Come on! It's good to get the heart racing every now and then, right? And race they did. Everyone of you just pitter-pat, pitter-pat! I hope you appreciated my little phantasmagorical spectacle. I mean, no detail too small. No opportunity missed! It was such a delight to play the puppet master to all of your Pavolian panics! And all that gore, I mean, there was gore galore. Fake bodies... God, that shit was expensive, and no retakes. Nope, nope, nope, only double takes. You should've seen your faces. Hook line and sinker for every little stinker!" Explained Josh, it was clear to Lola he was off of his medication.
It was now making sense. Why the 'pyscho' treated Lola so gently. Why he apologised.
"Josh, why are you doing this?" Asked Sam, Josh looked towards her before glacing over at the frightened Lola... his cherry. "Don't even ask this squirrelly, little runt. He's got no clue. He's out of his fucking tree!" Mike exclaimed before Lola glanced up at him and inched closer towards Josh.
"He's stopped taking his meds. Why would you do that Josh? I thought you was okay," Lola said before reaching Josh, a hand placing onto his arm before Josh looked down at her with a sorrowed expression. He seemed fine earlier on in the night. "Come on, you guys, revenge is the best medicine. You guys are going to be Internet sensations! You better believe this puppy is going viral, ladies and germs. We got unrequited love, we go blood! I don't think there are enough harddrives in China to count all of the views we're gonna get," Josh said before Lola shook her head at him, feeling as he pushed her calming touch from off his arm.
"What are you talking about, asshat? Jessica is fucking dead!" Mike revealed.
Everyone's faces dropped at Mike's angered words. Josh wouldn't actually kill her, right?
"What?" Josh questioned as his smile began to disappear. He looked around at his friends, noticing as they were upset with the depressing news. "You're going to fucking pay, you dick!" Mike exclaimed as he knocked Josh out, Lola raised an eyebrow at him before shaking her head.
"I just told you he's not taking his meds! Why would you knock him out?" Lola said before looking down at Josh's body, wiping the blood dripping from his nose with her sleeve.
