"you're a coward."
bleu scoffs, rolling her eyes in annoyance. she parts her full lips and purposely leans forward, guiding the puff of smoke towards hyunjin's face.
"is that so?"
the sudden intrusion of smoke into his lungs causes hyunjin to violently cough, he backs away, his hands falling from bleu's waist.
as she is no longer cornered against the walls of the underground subway, she then picks up her backpack from the ground and walks away. she leaves behind hyunjin to resolve his sudden coughing fit.
"what's going on with you!?"
the black haired male takes notice of bleu fleeing, so he runs after her, slowly increasing his pace in order to catch up with her.
"what are you running from?"
he reaches for her arm before she can escape him and forcefully spins her around to meet eyes with him.
"from you."
it was actually only half a truth. the younger male is taken aback by the coldness of her voice.
"you're lying."
he looks into her olive eyes hoping she'd agree but it's quite the opposite, and hyunjin is frightened by the sincerity in her eyes.
"leave me alone, hyunjin"
she shakes off his grip. his persistence had pissed her off.
"why don't you ever tell me what troubles you?"
his voice is much softer and gentler than when he called her a 'coward'. hyunjin couldn't understand why bleu was making things much more difficult, people were starting to stare. he shouldn't care about the scene the two were making.
the love of his life was about to leave him. the love of his life wanted to unravel what they had woven.
if only he could've found the right words that would've made her stay.
"because you've never bothered to care"
she bites down on her tongue to keep herself from saying anything else, and to hold back the tears that threaten to escape. perhaps one day she'll able to believe the many lies she's told.
