chapter 6 [oh no]

Kokichi's POV

I woke up at around 6 am feeling a bit sick. Which is not good at all.

After about 5 minutes of feeling drowsy and sick, I decided that might need to check my temperature. So, I walked to the kitchen and got the thermometer to check.

101.1°F.

This isn't good. Of course on the day I get to hang out with my first good friend I of course have to get sick. But still, it's just a fever so maybe I could hang out with him still.

I went to get dressed in my room and hot ready for the day, besides feeling totally awful. And since it was still early, I just sat on my couch looking at my phone waiting until it was time to meet up with Amami.

Before I knew it, it was around 9 o' clock. I got off my couch and went outside to see Amami waiting there for me.

"Hey Amami." I hope he doesn't notice me looking sick.

"Hey Oum- oh jeez you look horrible. Are you ok?"

"Yeah, it's just a slight fever. No need to worry."

"Maybe we should just hang out at your house because that looks more than just a "slight" cold." He looked at me with a worried face.

"No, no, I am ok it's just a small- *Cough* fever." Well that's just great. Now I have a cough.

"Sorry, Ouma. But we are gonna stay inside. "

"Ok. Fine *cough*" As much as I didn't want to stay inside all day, Amami was desperate to stay inside so I had to go with his idea.

As we walked to my not too far away house, I remembered that my house was really bad compared to his house, which made me worry. What if he didn't want to be friends anymore because he will suddenly thing I am inferior to him.

But, than again, he isn't that type of person so i need to stop thinking he will leave me because of our differences.

We got to my door and walked inside.

"Sorry if it's messy. I keep on forgetting to clean. So again, sorry."

"Its fine, Ouma. It's quite clean if you ask me. So no need to apologize." He said with a small smile.

And that when our day together began.
