Scott wasn't normal after watching his girlfriend get torn from his warmth grasp by a product of the disease. For countless nights, he moped and cried about that night and how he continued to survive without her.
The undead were ruthless despite their victims that they torn apart with their nails and teeth. Scott has had an unimaginable amount of encounters with the dead. Even his own dreams haunt him because of what he lived through each day. Scott is not injured other than his tragic past that causes him to second guess every possible decision he makes each day.
From his survival group and the last of the living members of Scott's family, his mother was taken by a group of bandits. Scott was traumatized and could not let her go so easily. He geared up at his camp and headed out, tracking the bandits every step of the way.
Their path led into a dark tunnel which unfortunately, consists of multiple zombies. This wasn't a good approach to Scott's rescue plan, but it had to be endured to make it to his mother. Family was everything and he would never let that fade away.
