*Two weeks later*
Y/N POV
I just wanted a thneed, but I got spices.
I started working as Oncey's secretary once his business skyrocketed. He promised to take me out to lunch. But he was always busy.
Today was a slow day and I was mostly reading. The Lorax went to see Oncey, but quickly stormed out the office. The Lorax only glanced at me before leaving the building. Soon after, the Onceler came down.
3rd Person POV
The Onceler leans against his desk, hands covering his face. He can't stand him! He keeps following him, like a shadow, a regret, a guilt, following him through the halls. Thoughts began to swarm his mind. But he needed to do this, right? The Lorax can't be right? The Onceler is not bad, he's just making a living out of the thneeds. It can't be bad, if it was, then people wouldn't buy it.
He decided to take his mind off of things and go have lunch with his new secretary. He steps out of his office and waves Y/N over.
Y/N looks up to see the Onceler wave her over. He seemed to have calmed down. Y/N walks towards him wondering why he needed her.
"Y/N," his deep voice brings chills down her spine. She looks everywhere but his eyes. His blue eyes. She wondered if they sparkled in the sun. Maybe like that Edward Cullen guy that Willy is always talking about. Y/N thinks to herself. Her mind trails off until the Onceler snaps his fingers at her.
"As I was saying," his voice dripping with annoyance. "I was wondering if you would like to take a break with me and eat?"
Y/N smiled softly at him and nodded, "Sure I would love to, I brought some fruit, we can eat that with ta-jean?" The second after she finished saying Tajin, the Onceler cringed.
"Um yea, I would love to.." He hesitantly said, becoming way too focused on twiddling his fingers.
Who the fuck says Tajin like that? The Onceler wonders to himself. He forces himself to smile and grab Y/N's hand.
"I guess it's time to eat." The Onceler mumbles to himself
