Not the way you think

No way

No way in hell is Alec staying in my room sleeping. What if my dad comes in and finds him? Well my dad doesn't really come to my room unless its to drag me out and hit me and he already did that tonight but still. You can never be safe enough.

"Alec as much as I love you trying to look after me you need to leave"

"But why?"

"Because what if my dad comes into my room?"

He sights "you're right. Well at least let me help you shower and tuck you in yea?"

I blush when he mentions helping me shower, but the truth is I dont think thats a good idea the whiplashes are still fresh and trust me they sting like a bitch when you get them wet when they're fresh. Well shit.

"Umm I dont know..."

"Come on Mandi. Its not like im going to try something I just want to help you."

"Fine"

Helps me start a shower going in my own personal bathroom. Did I mention I live in a mansion? No? Well I do. Looks can be very deceiving.   To everyone were a perfect family, everything is perfect. My dad owns his own company. He exports lots of different things to different places all round the world. So basically we're super rich, but money isn't everything.

Alec helps me get in the shower and as soon as the water hits my back I have to quickly bite into my hand to keep the screams from being heard or being to loud. Oh my God!!!! My back feels like its on fire. Everything burns. Its like someone threw acid all over my back. I burns so freaking bad, so much.

I start to cry and bite my hand even harder. Im biting so hard it honestly wouldn't surprise me if I start bleeding soon.

"I know I know. Shhhh I know" Alec keeps trying to shush me and soothe me.

"Alec please let me out!" Please!! Let me out it burns!"

"Im sorry Mandi. I wish it was me and not you. Please just hold on a little longer im almost done just a little bit more."

I cant it hurts to much. I need to get out. I need to get out NOW!
"Please Alec. Let me out" I say I'm quickly losing strength. My legs almost give up on me when Alec decides to get me out of the shower. That thing was pure torture. It was hell.

Alec dries me up being careful with my back.

He helps me put my underwear on I cant wear a bra so that's a no no, he helps me put some pants on. Well now I just need a shirt. Umm yea I dont have a shirt that's comfortable and backless so I can sleep in. Crap. Great just great.

"Here wear this." Alec says while he takes his shirt off. I raise my arms as much as I can which isnt much but its still something. He pulls the shirt over my head and as soon as he puts its on me im able to smell his colone. Umm axe maybe? Dont know but it smells great.

We walk over to my bed I lay down face-down as to not irritate my already very sensitive skin.

True to his word Alec tucks me in, being careful to not wrap the covers too tightly. He starts to play with my hair until I fall into the best sleep I've had in years. Despite the aching on my back everything seems perfect, almost too perfect.

I wake up with the light on my eyes. I look to my clock 10:00am. Well there goes school. Its weird since I didn't hear my alarm but I wasn't in no conditions to go to school either way.

When I turn back to my pillow just before I fall asleep I see a note;

Well I hope you had a goodnight sleep my love. I had to go home amd then to school but I'll be back later see if I can sneak in again. Im sorry for last night I didnt mean to hurt you but I was trying to help.
Ps, you look beautiful when you sleep. So innocent without a care in the world.

I smile. But Ill have to text coach later that im not going to be able to go to Regionals today. I wanted to go so bad but I cant go showing my back around mucb less run and moving my sore muscles around, it hurts even when I breathe!

There goes my chance to meet my goals. Oh well, there's always next year I guess.

Soon sleep wraps around me like a cocoon. An escape to my own personal hell....
