Soon enough, the evening came and I had to get ready for the party.

After painfully putting in my contact lenses and fixing my hair, I headed downstairs to meet my parents.

Both my mother and father were rushing to get ready while busy talking on their phones.

Before I could say anything, my mother came to me: "Haerin sweetie are you done?" she said covering the speaker on her phone.

I nodded slowly as she looked at me.

"Haerinie, you wore that dress last month, why don't you wear one of the newer dresses we got in London last week?" she said hurriedly.

"Okay, eomma," I mumbled.

"Oh and Haerin,"

I turned around.

"Try to smile more, you'll look prettier," She said and rubbed off some of her lipstick from her lips to pat onto mine.

I quickly head back to change as my mother went back to her call.

~~~~~~
Not long after, my family parked into the Kim family's mansion, where the party was being held this time.
After my usual greetings to the adults, I made my way to the living room to try to find someone my age.
"Choi Haerin?" I heard an unfamiliar deep voice behind me.
I turned around to lock eyes with a very tall, attractive  guy that I've never seen before.
"Do I know you?" I asked, turning my head to the side in confusion.
"Kim Taehyung," the guy said, offering his hand.
I nodded, shaking his hand, still confused about who he is.
Taehyung's eyes softened.
 "This is my parent's house,"
My eyes widened as I gasped, a bit louder than I expected.
"Y-You're the son of the Kim family?" I say, stumbling over my words.
 The entire car ride here my parents wouldn't stop talking about the son of the Kim family that just came back from a trip abroad and how successful he was internationally, not to mention, how famous he was for his looks.
"Oh, Haerin-ah, you'll be lucky if you catch a glimpse of his face," my mother swooned.
"Haerin, it's also important to maintain a polite image if you do get a chance to meet him," my father said.
"Yes, it's very important that you get along with him, it'll be beneficial for the future," my mother added.
Quickly, I bowed in respect to Taehyung.
"Ah, I'm sorry for not recognizing you," I apologized.
Taehyung chuckled sweetly, "No, no, it's alright,"
The more I examined his face, the more I did realize how good looking he really was; his hair was perfectly curled, his eyes were a deep dark brown hue, and he had the most charming smile. Aside from his face, his body was no joke, even though he was wearing a suit that wasn't exactly form-fitting, anyone would notice his biceps and muscles, and especially his tall stature.
I cleared my throat.
"I've heard a lot about you," I said with a smile.
"I've heard a lot about you as well," Taehyung grinned.
We headed to the dining hall to get some appetizers together and continued talking.
He turned out to have such a great personality. Wow, he had good looks and a good personality too? That was extremely rare.
"So you're transferring to the same school next week?"
Taehyung nodded.
"The second I came back to Korea, my parents made such a big fuss preparing me for it," he explained.
I smiled
"It will be nice seeing you around," I said.
"You as well," he smiled back.
We were talking when someone's shoulder bumped into mine, making the wine fall from the person's hand onto my dress.
"Haerin! Are you okay?" Taehyung asked, worried.
"Don't worry I'm fine," I said reassuringly.
"I'll just quickly go to the bathroom to wash it out,"
Embarrassed, I dashed to the nearest bathroom, which was away in an empty hall.
Thankfully it was white wine, so it didn't stain my dress too badly.
After patting the wet part dry with a towel, I looked into the mirror.
"Ahhh, I must've looked so flushed in front of Taehyung," I whined to myself, slapping my cheeks.
I was examining my face when out of nowhere the contact lens on my left eye fell out.
"Damn it," I cursed looking everywhere for it.
After hesitating, I left the bathroom, blind in one eye.
Forget it  I thought.
I shouldn't be making Taehyung wait for too long.
As I left the bathroom, I saw a figure not too far away from me.
I couldn't really tell who the person was since there was still a distance between us, but I could tell that it was a man.
And since the hall was empty it was only me and the guy.
"Choi Haerin, we're finally alone,"
