After realizing who it was I rolled my eyes annoyingly.
"Jungkook you're such a creep,"
"Why were you just waiting for me like a stalker?" I sneered.
Jungkook scoffed.
"Did you think I wanted to wait for you?? I was practically suffocated through all the boredom," he wailed miserably.
"Good thing I got that girl to spill her drink on you," Jungkook laughed to himself.
"What?!"
"You did that?!" I said angrily.
"Well, technically, I didn't drop it on you," Jungkook chuckled.
I sighed in irritation.
"That's what you get for leaving me the whole time," Jungkook argued.
"I'm blind in one eye now because of you!" I snapped.
Jungkook leaned down a bit to meet my eyes.
"Hah, sucks to be you," He said, ruffling my hair.
"Ah, and also," Jungkook started.
"Who was that guy you were glued to the whole time?"
I smiled with satisfaction.
"Kim Taehyung,"
"Oh," he simply said.
"What do you mean 'oh'?? He was so attractive," I said dreamily.
"Ehh he was pretty slimy-looking," Jungkook muttered.
I huffed in annoyance.
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go back to Taehyung," I said.
"Wait, you're leaving already??"
"Yeah?"
"Nooo," Jungkook said, clutching his arm to mine.
"Don't go yet, I'll be so bored," He whined.
"But Taehyung said he was waiting," I mumbled.
"Pshhh, the second you left he went to talk to some other girl," Jungkook said quietly.
"How about this," Jungkook started.
"Give me fifteen minutes, and then I'll leave you alone for the rest of the night,"
I looked over to Jungkook suspiciously.
"Are you sure? Only fifteen minutes and I won't have to talk to for the rest of the night?" I asked.
Jungkook nodded sincerely.
"Fine," I sighed.
"You're fifteen minutes start now, loser,"
Jungkook opened his mouth to say something but then closed it. And instead of saying anything at all, he grabbed my hand and walked out of one of the back doors.
"Wh-Where are you going?" I asked, surprised.
"Shh, just trust me," He said softly, turning back to look at me.
We kept walking outside in the dark, and although I could barely see anything it seemed as if Jungkook knew this path well. After a while, we reached a place not that far from the house; we were at a hill with the city lights shining brightly in front of us.
"Wowww," I mumbled subconsciously.
"Isn't it pretty?" Jungkook said excitedly, swinging our hands together.
I widened my eyes and quickly pulled my hand away from Jungkook.
"Aghh why were you even holding my hand for that long??"
"You said your contact lens fell out! I was just making sure you wouldn't fall or anything," Jungkook said.
'He's acting nice these days, too nice' I thought.
I cleared my throat; "Thank you," I mumbled.
Jungkook tilted his head to the side playfully.
"What was that? I didn't hear you?" He chuckled.
"I said 'thank you'," I said, slapping Jungkook's arm.
Jungkook and I ended up talking, a lot. He was surprisingly funny, and actually bearable when he wasn't teasing me all the time. I hadn't realized how long we were talking until I got a text from my parents to come back and noticed that it was almost midnight.
So I held onto Jungkook's hand once again, and he led us back to the house.
the fifteen minutes we talked about earlier had passed long, long, ago.
