Chapter 3

(Justin's point of view)

          I walk up the sidewalk to Adams house and knock on the door. I wait for about thirty seconds. I see Adams face appear in the door way. I smile warmly and wave. He looks nervous, which makes me nervous. We walk inside and he shows me to his editing/recording room. I sat down in a chair and he sat down in the one next to me. It honestly felt like home. I could imagine making videos in front of the expensive camera and just having a good time. But wait I've almost accomplished my dream, to be a director. I'm so close I've already directed a few short films and well on my way to success. So why am i thinking about making silly videos in a little apartment?

          Me and Adam talk more about our careers and discuss plans for the future. Adam has been editing videos since a very young age and was very skilled. He has been going to many film festivals to get ideas, meet new people, and gain fame. I have been wanting to be a directer for very long and have also been going to a few festivals myself for inspiration. Its so nice to have someone to talk to with similar interests. As we talk and as time goes by i can see him relaxing. Whatever was bothering him seemed to leave his mind.

          We talked for about two hours and i realized it was a little after eight o'clock. My stomach growled and Adam laughed. "Would you...uh..like to stay for dinner? I can put pizza in the oven." He asked. "Yeah that would be great, i'm starving if you couldn't tell." I joked. 

          We walked into the kitchen and he placed the pizza in the oven then walked over to the table and threw a bag of chips on it and he said "Help yourself." I sat down and started snacking on chips while we waited for the pizza to be done. As he was walking past the kitchen counter he hit something and it fell to the floor. I got up and picked up what fell. It was the newly released movie i was dying to see! I asked him if he was planning to watch it. "Yes, tonight actually." He said "Would you like to...yanoe....stay and watch it with me?" I was amused by his actions. He obviously wanted me to stay and i kinda wanted to as well. We just got along so easily and it felt like we've known each other for years.

          The oven beeped and he pulled out the pizza. "I hope you like pepperoni" he said with a smile. "Its actually my favorite." I said. He gave me a slice on a paper plate and we sat down on the couch after he popped in the DVD into the TV. We were sitting pretty close to each other and Adam was so awkwardly funny...but i kinda loved it. He's more of the timid type and i'm more of a confident, outgoing type.

          Our shoulders were almost touching now and the movie was just about to start. I realized that it was a Romance movie and i looked over at Adam subtly so he didn't notice. I saw that he was blushing but i didn't know if it was in my head or not. I mean i only realized about a year ago that i was Bi and i still haven't told anyone because i'm scared of what they'll think or say of me. I'm worried it will also affect my carrier that I've been working towards my whole life. Anyway I don't even know if hes into guys or not. He could just be a shy dude. I am about to say something when i hear a knock at the door.
