Unstable [Complete]

Promise

Lapis P.O.V.

I flew home excitedly, eager to see Peridot. I landed in the barn and looked around.

"Peridot!"

...

"Hey wanna watch Camp Pining Hearts?!"

...

"Peridot...?"

...

I searched the barn. I looked in her favorite box. Her favorite hiding place. The couch. EVERYWHERE. But I couldn't find her.

I flew out of the barn and looked over our part of the countryside.

"P-Peridot? Hey where are you? Y-You're starting to scare me!" I said as my tears rolled down my face

[Did she leave? She wouldn't do that..would she?] I thought

I decided to extend my search. That's when I found her.

I noticed Peridot in a field of blue and yellow flowers as I flew across the sky. I dived down and landed behind her quietly. I sneaked up behind her and got super close.

"Boo." I whispered

She leapt forwards and turned around, and summoned what looked to be a...giant wrench? A look of confusion spread across her face once she saw me.

"W-What are you doing here?!" She yelled

"I was looking for you!"

She sighed and dropped her wrench. She walked over to a stump and sat on it.

"So is this your weapon?" I asked, picking it up

"Yeah.." She said awkwardly

"It's cool, was that your first time summoning it?"

"No."

"When did you first summon it?"

"I dunno..A week ago?"

She got up and I handed it back to her. She made it disappear and she glared at me.

"How did you find me?"

"I searched the barn and you weren't there, so I started flying over the forest then I found you."

She sighed and fell backwards into the flowers. I layed down next to her.

"Do you hate me..?" She asked sadly

"Peridot why would you think I hate you?" I asked surprised

"Oh I dunno! Maybe it's the fact that this is the first time we've spent time together in THREE MONTHS?!" She yelled as she sat up

"Peri-"

"Did you ever think about how I felt? IT BROKE ME! I haven't been happy for three months! It got so bad I wanted to shatter myself! If you hadn't come here when you did I would've shattered myself! That was the plan!" She shouted through tears

I jolted upwards and looked at the depressed gem. I scooted over to her and wrapped my arms around her. At first she resisted but then she gave in.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.." I whispered

"L-Lapis..?"

"Yes?"

"Please don't leave me.."

"I'll never leave you."

"Promise?"

"Promise."
