Spencer's POVWe step through the doorway of the bustling club and I immediately want to leave. Garcia must see the regretful look on my face as she links her arm in mine and drags me to the bar where Emily, JJ and Morgan are. Rossi and Hotch decided to pass on the night out and head home, right now, I wish I did too.
"Oh no no no. You are staying," she demands. "I need to see what you're like with alcohol in your system."
I roll my eyes playfully. "Sorry Garcia. I'll have something that won't poison my body." She knocks back a shot and winces as the liquid burns her throat. "My point exactly."
"Ooh you know what sounds fun?" She turns to the group. We all look at her expectantly. "DANCING!"
We all make our way to the centre of the dance floor through groups of sweaty, drunk people. JJ and Emily are jumping around together, Morgan does some form of body roll, Garcia is just moving her limbs in every which way and I stand.. very awkwardly.
"Good idea babygirl," commends Morgan with a smirk. "When I dance, no woman can resist me."
"Morgan, you look like a caterpillar having a stroke," comments Emily, gaining a laugh from everyone except Morgan.
"Hey would you check out that babe." He gestures to a woman in a short red dress facing away from us towards the bar. Something about her seems familiar.
"You can't even see her face," says JJ, rolling her eyes with a smile.
The woman moves her hair to one side and my eyes widen. "It's Jaella."
"What? I didn't know that she was coming here tonight," says Garcia, as surprised as I am.
I now feel more excited about the night. "She said that she was going out with her friend Alex. They must be trying out this place too."
"Are you sure it's her?" Asks Morgan.
"Yeah," I confirm. "She has a scar like that one travelling up her back." I gesture to the scar that you'd only notice once pointed out.
I hear Garcia whisper to the girls, "Get yourself a man who knows every inch of you body." They make noises of agreement.
"Call her over," instructs Emily. "I'm sure they'd join us."
I make my way around crowds. "Jaella!" I call out. She mustn't hear me over the music. "Jaella!" I call again, trying to get past a particularly big bachelorette party. I stop when I see someone approaching her.
Who's that guy?
She gets up and I feel my heart sink as I watch her give the black haired man a kiss on the cheek. They both take a seat at the bar. My feet don't move, no matter how much I want to turn around and forget about the scene in front of me. I stay standing a couple of meters away. My mind feels foggy as I watch them talk. She looks happy. She leans forward and brushes his arm. My blood boils and my fingernails dig into my palm.
This can't be happening.
All of a sudden the anger is gone, leaving only sadness. Betrayal. I knew I couldn't trust her. I knew I shouldn't have caught feelings for her, ones that she obviously doesn't return. I knew I shouldn't have fallen in love with her. I watch hopelessly as she looks at him with lust, desire.
Did I do something wrong? Was there something I couldn't give her? I can't take this anymore.
I turn on my heel and make my way to the door but Morgan stops me.
"Hey what's going on?" He searches my eyes, seeing the tears building up. "Where's Jaella?" He asks with furrowed brows.
"She's at the bar," I croak out. "With another guy. Feel free to get with her tonight. Apparently loyalty isn't a quality that she possesses."
