Chapter 5-Week 2

Things were insane. After their first live show girls were screaming after them. It was strange. They were just five normal teenage boys but Harry liked the attention. He liked girls, at least he thought so but then there was Louis.

They had asked them to do a video diary each week they went through the live shows. It was fun. They answered fan questions and just goofed around. Louis was really funny all the time. Harry had a hard time keeping his eyes off him. They got asked what kind of girl they liked and Harry saw how Louis' face fell for a second. He looked really uncomfortable. He wondered why?

But he didn't really like that kind of questions either, how would he know what kind of girls he liked? He'd never been in love before. Well, he had to say something and he really liked when people had a nice smile, as Louis had. Louis joked and said that he liked girls that ate carrots. That was just stupid and Harry laughed.

They did some interviews and photo shoots as well and they were busy 24/7. They loved every second of it. 

This week's theme was Heroes and they were gonna perform My life would suck without you. Harry still got stage fright but he didn't break down like last week. Louis was always by his side making sure he was okay. Harry was grateful for it. Louis was the best. He just loved their friendship, or bromance like the other contestants said. Harry liked it.

He spent most of his time rehearsing with the boys or hanging out with Louis. He never grew tired of his company and he really hoped Louis felt the same way.

Since Louis took him on a picnic on the roof Harry wanted to do something for him too. They needed to think about something else than the competition for a few hours. Harry could tell that Louis was stressed out as well even if he was better at hiding it than he was. Dinner and a movie sounded like a great plan. Louis wouldn't think he was asking him out on a date or something? Of course not. Why was he nervous about this? 

He found him in his bunk bed that he rarely used.
"Hi, Lou Lou. What are you doing?"

"Nothing much." Louis said and smiled as soon as he laid eyes on Harry.

Harry came climbing up into the top bunk bed and Louis immediately moved to the side to make room for him. Harry laid down next to him.
"So I was thinking about getting out of here for a while and I wanted to check with you if you wanna join me?"

"Of course! What do you have in mind?" Louis immediately replied.

"Dinner and a movie?" Harry suggested and bit his lower lip.

"Ooh, fancy date?" Louis grinned.

Harry rolled his eyes at him and his cheeks got a rosy touch.
"More like McDonald's and the latest Jackass movie."

"Sounds awesome! Come on!" Louis said and crawled over Harry to get down on the floor.

"I'm just gonna change! Give me a minute!" he shouted and started to roam through his suitcase. His clothes were in a mess and he picked up a shirt and smelled it before he pulled his t-shirt over his head.

Harry had been watching him with amusement from the top bed and now his eyes got stuck on Louis' naked torso and his cheeks flushed. Louis was slim and fit with curvy hips and a cute little tummy. Why did he even reflect on that? When Louis pulled his sweats down to change into some skinny jeans Harry scrambled out of bed to get changed as well.

His clothes were neatly folded in his suitcase and he had no trouble finding what he was looking for. He changed quickly and put on some deodorant so he wouldn't smell like sweat. When he turned around Louis was waiting for him with a bright smile.

They told the staff where they were going and took the subway downtown. Someone recognized them and they posed for a picture. Louis took Harry's hand in his while they walked out of the subway to the nearest Mcdonald's. Harry paid for their meals even if Louis protested.

They found a booth and ate their burgers while they discussed the upcoming show.
"I don't understand why Liam and I get all the solos. We're five people in the band and everyone sings great." Harry said.

Louis shrugged his shoulders.
"I honestly don't know, Haz but I'm sure it will change later on. We're new to this."

They finished their burgers and headed to a cinema a few blocks away. Harry paid for their tickets and Louis let him with the promise that he would pay the next time they went out.

They bought some popcorn and drinks and took their seats in the back. The movie was really funny. Those Jackass guys were insane. When the movie was done and they had walked out of the cinema Louis turned to Harry.
"I had a great time, Haz."

"Me too." Harry beamed.

They took the subway back to the X-factor house and decided to go to bed early. Louis came climbing into Harry's single bed as usual and they nuzzled in. Harry laid awake after Louis had fallen asleep with his head on his chest. He wasn't so sure that this was just a bromance, at least not for him. Louis made him feel things. His heart beat faster when they were this close. Just looking at him gave him butterflies and sweaty hands and he kept on blushing all the time. If he didn't know better it seemed like he had developed a crush on his best mate. He didn't know what to do about that. It was scary and confusing.

Two days later it was time for their second live show and they made it through it, together as a group.
