They were finally singing an uptempo song for the fifth live show. The theme was American anthems and they were performing Kids in America.  Harry had become a little more confident on stage. Their fanbase grew bigger every day but mostly he had Louis to thank for it. He was always complimenting and encouraging him and he made sure to do the same.

They had a busy schedule. Being in a tv production meant that they always had cameras on them and he and Louis used to hide in the bathrooms together when they wanted some time together without being caught on tape. It was not like they were doing anything except talking but they needed privacy once in a while.

Their families were coming to this week's show and they were both really excited. Harry had missed his mum like crazy and Louis assured him that he missed his as much.

They did a lot of interviews both as a band all five of them but also just the two of them. They were asked to talk about this week's song selection and Harry decided to joke about it.
"There is something very different this week and it could be really distracting." Louis started off and Harry saw an opportunity.

"I'm dressed as a cheerleader, I mean, no, that was last night." He turned to look at Louis and the boy beside him were staring at him intensely.

As soon as the interview was over Louis turned to look at him.
"Cheerleader uniform?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, I don't know where that came from. Sorry." Harry chuckled.

"I think you would look cute in one." Louis answered with a grin and Harry could feel himself blush.

The week went by fast. They had developed a routine in the house. They got their rehearsal schedule on Sundays which meant they had Saturday off unless they had to attend an event of some kind. Harry and Louis usually spent them together just the two of them. Picnics on the roof was a favorite thing to do considering they couldn't really be anonymous outside the house anymore. Screaming fans followed them around and it could get ugly even if they appreciated all of them. They were the reason they got through the live shows and they couldn't be more grateful.

On Thursday Harry had packed a picnic basket and took Louis to their special place where they liked to look at the stars together. It was getting cold outside so they had dressed warm and Harry had brought blankets. They draped one over their shoulders and another one over their legs while they nibbled on some fruit.
"I can't believe we got this far." Louis said.

"Me neither."

They ate the fruit before they laid down next to each other to stare at the sky. They had this thing where they made up different star constellations, one sillier than the other and they giggled at their made-up stuff.
"So that's the grumpy old man kicking a cat." Louis said and pointed at some stars on their left.

Harry started to giggle but drew in a sharp breath when Louis took his hand in his and entwined their fingers together. He turned his head to look at him, almost bumping their noses together from how close they were.

They stared into each other's eyes and they both seemed to be holding their breaths. Louis' eyes flickered down to Harry's lips and he started to lean in closer. Harry's heart was beating like crazy. Suddenly he felt Louis' soft lips press against his own briefly before they went away again. He opened his eyes to find Louis looking at him. He looked scared and really vulnerable.

Harry smiled and leaned in this time. He pressed his lips against Louis' who let out a gasp. They started to move their lips against each other slowly. The angle made it difficult so Louis rolled on top of Harry and buried his hands in his hair. He licked along his lower lip to ask for entrance and Harry immediately opened his mouth and they deepened the kiss. They both let out a small, breathless moan as soon as their tongues touched for the first time.

Harry thought it would feel strange to kiss a boy but it didn't. Kissing Louis felt so right and it was such a turn-on. He could feel himself growing hard in his pants and let out a whimper.

All of a sudden Louis broke the kiss and rolled off him. They both had a hard time controlling their breathing.
"Fuck, I just cheated on me girlfriend." Louis said sounding remorseful.

Harry felt bad for Hannah's sake and at the same time he was happy that Louis had kissed him.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled.

"You're not the one with a girlfriend." Louis said and looked at Harry. His eyes fell on his swollen lips and he swallowed loudly before his eyes snapped up to meet Harry's again.

"No, but I know you have one. It's just, I kind of have a crush on you. I'm sorry Lou. I don't want to destroy our friendship." Harry said, looking really afraid of Louis' reaction.

Louis broke out in a sunshine smile. He looked really happy.
"Yeah? I kind of have a crush on you too."

Harry let out a dry sob, feeling overwhelmed.
"Really?"

"Of course, baby. I would really like to kiss you again but I need to break up with Hannah first. Okay?" Louis said softly and stroked Harry's cheek.

They got off the roof and went to bed. Louis slept in his own bed this time. He whispered to Harry that he couldn't trust himself to not kiss him now when he knew how amazing it really was.

Their families came to see them before the show. Louis' mum Jay and Harry's mum Anne had become good friends since their sons were in a band together and because they were glued to the hip.

The show went great and they got to stay another week. They brought their families to the afterparty and everybody had a great time. Harry took his mum to the side to tell her that he liked Louis, even if he was nervous about her reaction. She smiled brightly and gave him a hug and told him that Louis was a wonderful person. She reassured him that she just wanted him to be happy. Harry was relieved that his mum took it well. He had nothing to worry about, except if Louis actually would break up with Hannah or not.
