Chapter 4: Alone forever/Together forever

Just a heads up this story will have two different endings because I wanna try it out, one will be angst and the other will be very floofy.

angst ending

~Roman's POV~

    We got to the light sides but Remus had to leave to take care of some things, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was Patton and Virgil sitting on the couch looking very stressed, and I see that they also looked a little bit guilty. When they saw me they looked a lot more relived but still had a guilty look in their eyes, Patton got up and ran over to me and hugged me, after a few seconds he pulled away and Virgil got up and stood next to him "look, we're very sorry for talking behind your back" Virgil said, but I couldn't tell if he was being honest "yeah kiddo, we won't do it anymore. And sorry for making you turn into Pride, by the way" Patton said and I felt slight anger because he said they wouldn't do it anymore, but I could feel that they would still do it, just not out in the open where I could hear them.

    I looked at them kindly and said "apology not accepted" then I went upstairs and into my room. As I was about to close my door I heard Patton say "well I tried to be nice, but he decided to be the annoying prince he is and not accept my apology" I felt my heart crack and then Virgil decided to speak "right? It's like he's too dumb to realise that we're trying to be nice" I immediately felt my heart shatter, I was right, they didn't care about me. Even after all of this happening, they still didn't care.

    I laid on my bed and started silently crying, I stayed that way for a long time before checking my clock and realising it was past midnight. I couldn't stop thinking about what they had said so I got out of bed and put on my PJ's, I got in bed and fell asleep only to wake up a bit later from a nightmare.

~a few weeks later~

    Patton and Virgil were still talking about me behind my back when they thought I wasn't listening, but I was. And I got out of bed this morning to see Virgil and Patton downstairs talking about me again, but this was worse.

"why doesn't he just kill himself? no one would notice he's missing, and if they did, I bet they would be happy about it" Patton said. (Imma kill you Pat-)

"I mean yeah, everyone would like it if the annoying trait was gone" Virgil said. (you too Virge-)

    I walked back upstairs making sure they didn't hear me and sat on my bed. 'They're right y'know ' said my internal voice and that finally pushed me over the edge. I grabbed a rope from my dresser and made a noose, I hung it up on the ceiling and stood on a chair. I didn't bother to write a note because I had nothing to say, so I put my head through the loop and kicked my chair away, all I felt was the rope around my neck before taking my last breath.

Fluffy ending

And sorry for making you turn into Pride, by the way" I could tell that both of them were very sorry for what they did so I accepted their apology "It's fine you guys, at least I don't have to see Pride any more" they smiled and nodded while going to the couch to watch some tv.

    I just stood there awkwardly as they sat down, Virgil noticed and waved me over "c'mon, you're apart of this family too" he said and I smiled slightly before sitting down next to him, Patton put on some Disney movies for the rest of the night. As we finished up the last movie, we all went to bed, I laid down in my bed knowing that they do love me and everything will alright.
