Internal comms conversation: "Where Logan and Specter would hear and talk to each other."

Time: February 21, Sunday, 9:43 PM

Location: Lunar, <STERBEN>, Ventral aft Hangar

"An alliance?" Logan expressed skepticism from his voice due to Ratatoskr's founder's proposal.

"Yes, at first, my commander wanted to have you and your friend to join Ratatoskr, but some in our ranks believe that you wouldn't want to join us," Woodman replied with certainty from his voice.

'Seriously...?'

"So... instead, you thought of allying with us Guardians and your Ratatoskr, correct?" Logan warily asked.

"Yes, although I have this line on a secured channel, I believe we should talk about this in person."

Logan learned that Ratatoskr is a private organization that is said to be known only by the upper level of the government and high-ranking military officials. If he and Woodman meet in a public area and discuss the alliance proposal, there would be severe repercussions. Not just to the Ratatoskr, but also to the Spirits that are living under their wings.

"Ah, keep thing hush-hush, eh? If that's the case, I'll need some time to debate your proposal with Specter. When we come up with our conclusion, I'll let you know when we are ready to meet you. How's that?"

"I understand you need to debate this with your friend. That I will not object, however, it would be best that we meet earlier. If your debate takes too long, it may cause a particular group from prying into what we are about to do."

"I am aware. I'll try to keep the debate short on my end, but I can't promise anything."

"I understand, if you are ready to meet, give us a call, and I shall make the arrangement for both of us to meet."

"Very well, until then." Logan ended the transmission with Woodman.

His head tilted to his left, firming his jaw, 'I can't say whether this is a good sign or bad sign.'

The Guardian knew that his Ghost harkened everything he and Woodman discussed. He turned to face his little light, who was floating next to him.

"What do you think?" Logan glanced at Specter.

"All I can express at this moment is it was concerning. Just what is Ratatoskr up to?"

"We both know that Ratatoskr's MO is saving Spirits through peaceful means without killing them."

Logan ends his sentence, but Specter noticed doubts stayed in his words.

He bobbed his shell in agreement, "That is true, but there's more you want to say, right?"

Logan replied with a nod to his Ghost's question.

"The one that I'm most suspicious about is their head honcho."

The Ghost began to blink his eye.

"Woodman?" Specter meticulously asked.

His Guardian crossed his arms to his chest, his right hand raised into the air, and nodded.

From what he and Specter gathered on Woodman, he is the founder and benefactor of an organization. And one of three individuals summoned the Spirit of Origin, also called by the name Takamiya Mio—killing more than 1.5 million people in Eurasia. Logan couldn't understand why the founder of the Ratatoskr would commit such atrocities and suddenly creates a group dedicated to protecting Spirits from the government's legal authority, illegally.
