"(Y/n)!!" A familiar voice cried as a hand was suddenly slapped against your back.

"Oh, good morning, Nishinoya-San." You greeted the short libero, giving him a smile as both of you headed to the gym.

"What's wrong? You look upset." He pointed out.

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing, really I'm fine!" You gave him another fake smile, though he could see right through it. He decided not to question it though as you both headed to the gym for practise.

While watching Karasuno play, you couldn't help but feel bummed. You had just gotten your math test back and let's just say the grades weren't exactly astonishing. You had barely passed the test, and you knew your parents were not going to be pleased with you when you returned home, so you were dreading it.

Nishinoya sat on the bench next to you as everyone else kept playing. He took a swift from his water bottle as he let out a soft sigh.

"Please tell me what's wrong, (Y/n). No one will hear you, they're too busy playing volleyball." He begged you.

You sighed reluctantly, embarrassed by your grade as you nodded.

"I almost failed my math quiz. Once my parents see that I got lower than 80% they're gonna be so mad. I might get grounded." You sighed.

Nishinoya was silent, and you figured he was going to burst out laughing at you, since you felt as though that was a stupid reason to be upset. However, he didn't laugh. Instead, you felt him embrace you in a side hug as he leaned his head agaisnt your shoulder.

"I'm really sorry to hear that. But I'm sure your parents will understand if you explain to them why you did poorly and what you're gonna do to fix it so you do better next time!" He looked up at you with that giant smile of his that could make your heart melt any day.

"Thanks, Yuu." You mumbled, turning to face him and hugging him back.

"Anything for you!" He said into your shoulder, causing you to blush.

He suddenly stood up and stretched.

"Well, I'm gonna get back to practicing! I'll walk you home tonight, yeah?" He offered.

You nodded with a small smile. He liked to walk you home occasionally when he didn't have to head straight home himself. You told him he didn't have to, but he insisted on doing it since he claimed that he needed some more fresh air and extra walking would do him good, but you felt as though that was just an excuse.

You stood up and grabbed his arm before he could go back to practise, pecking his cheek softly before you let go of him and sat back on the bench.

It was like a fire lit in his eyes as he bounced back onto the court, energy suddenly overflowing from within him. You laughed at his antics, and waited for his practise to end so he could walk you home.

Sorry this one's a little on the short side.
